Speaker 2: I am so excited to be doing all things housewives with Priscilla. I think you are one of the funniest people on the internet and that is why I have to have you here today. And she is caught up and I could not be happier for this new podcaster to be on.

Speaker 1: Welcome Priscilla, how are you?

Speaker 3: Thank you so much for having me. I'm okay, it's attic season.

Speaker 4: Okay, so that's hard for me, got it, But you know I'm persevering.

Speaker 2: Yeah, you have you're a mom, you have a young, a young and a youth because I call them these days. Yeah, oh wow, I do think and they are who she what age?

Speaker 3: She's seven? She's decided to take a Yeah, she.

Speaker 2: Might not quite be at the six seven stage yet, Oh no, she is great.

Speaker 4: Love that It's not around the clock, but every now and then she'll just be like six seven.

Speaker 3: I'm like, what is that? She's like, I don't know.

Speaker 2: It's what the third through fifth graders and probably some older as well, But that's what I teach, like run around trying to teach the young and so that they could get all the teachers were out up and all the parents pulling their hair out, emailing me like what the hell is going on? I don't know, I don't know, nobody knows. So you're but seven. There's an elf on a shelf for your house. There's a minch on a bench. What is happening? Is there on the shelf? A bus?

Speaker 4: I am please to say I do not partake an elf on the shelf.

Speaker 2: But but godspeed to you parents that do just.

Speaker 4: But I did curbside rescue this like wooden, beautiful advent calendar thing that has like a door.

Speaker 2: For each day.

Speaker 4: So jolly the elf visits on like the night of November thirtieth and fills it with treats, toys. He hides little presents around the house and leaves her note for where to find them.

Speaker 3: Okay, so yeah he works on that one day a year.

Speaker 2: Okay, love that in and out. I mean, some of y'all elaborate. I get on the Instagram and I see the stories in the morning, which really gets me because I know I'm up early because hello, I gotta go to school. But y'all got to get your kids ready for school. So I'm seeing, like six thirty am, this damn elf has like slid down the cabinets, you know, turned thing the stove. He'd have made three eggs and ate her cookies and then left the six paragraph know about how your mom's a hole your dog all the time.

Speaker 2: You better be better. There's no good snacks in your fridge.

Speaker 4: Have you seen the Did you see the mom whose daughter wasn't listening to her so she put out chicken bones and put a hat like a Santa hat on it and said, like, our elf just integrated because you were lying.

Speaker 3: Boom, that's Trump, that's trauma.

Speaker 2: That is trauma. That's also that's also.

Speaker 3: Burnout, burnt out.

Speaker 2: She was like, you know what I've had it and writing no more stories for you. You're gonna act like this, I'm not staying until ten o'clock writing a story chat gpting what the hell and Elf on the Shelf could do on day twenty three, like there's so many.

Speaker 4: I also saw a I feel like social media has ruined the spirit of Elf on the shlop because I saw a thread the other day that was like just a reminder the elves. The story behind the Elf on a Shelf is just he goes back to the North Pole and comes back in a different place, like you don't have to do all that.

Speaker 2: Yeah, no, you shouldn't even be eating your food. He shouldn't be touching your things. He should be like, hey girl, I went last night and you know they're really making those toys. It would be great. Hope you're staying good, have a good day at school, all at and we'll go, Yeah, y'all have your el's going on adventures, and I commend it if it's bringing joy to your home in these dark times. If it's bringing you joy, awesome, But if it's not, I highly recommend you let that child find out that el's are just not that exciting and it's okay.

Speaker 3: It's okay. There's plenty of other holiday magic to enjoy it so much.

Speaker 2: Again, I was raised like a Hella Cultish Christian and we didn't do Santa, but not because like we weren't supposed to. My parents flat out asked me at five, like, do you want like a man you don't know to be bringing presents or do you want to just tell mommy and Daddy what you want for Christmas and we probably get it for you. I said, I don't want better, what do you mean? I could get things on a list if maybe I'm nice one or two, or they would give me the Toys r Uss Catalog RIP and I would just circle things throughout the catalog and they would go and get what they could.

Speaker 2: And I was always pleased because most of the things that I wanted were there. I had undiagnosed AUDHD, so they didn't. I didn't remember what I did circle anyway, so it always felt like a brand new exciting things. I was like, oh, yeah, fuck that big white guy.

Speaker 1: I don't know him.

Speaker 2: I don't know him, but my beautiful black American parents were like, you asked me what you want, I'll get it for you. Or you can let them, you know, the big fat man like day enter our home, right, And I'm like, we around a lot and every place has a fireplace. So it's not looking good for me.

Speaker 1: Since five.

Speaker 2: And they were like, okay, just don't spoil it for the other kids. So I didn't.

Speaker 1: I was a good yes, No I didn't. I probably did.

Speaker 2: Sorry if I did, someone's unfortunately probably listening who did go to school with me or something. It was like, I just can't remember you telling me in the fourth grade that my parents were lying to me about everybody.

Speaker 1: And but I'm like, well, you know, who.

Speaker 2: Are you to believe it? What are you doing?

Speaker 4: You know?

Speaker 2: My parents and be like listen, fuck this elf. I don't know if he's getting to write information back to the big man. But and you make sure I get the bite.

Speaker 3: Yeah. Oh and you said rip the catalog with catalogs are back?

Speaker 1: Yes, but toys are russ Is.

Speaker 2: No toys r us No, although I had like one or two, like in the Midwest, midwesterners chime in here. Someone told me like in Nebrasta there is Russ And I'm like, what I mean?

Speaker 4: They Nebraska they had a float at the Thanksgiving Day period.

Speaker 2: I thought, and that was odd to me. If we are in bankruptcy, you know what I'm saying, right, FAO makes sense towards our rest not so much, you know, it's it's not our money. But listen, I love toys r rest. I think that's actually a giant experience that children today don't get, is to walk into a toys like really just go crazy with creativity and fun and be like, this is what I want. Look at all this possibility. It kept me a kid a little bit longer. Thankfully theseus. I mean, there's six seven.

Speaker 2: I don't know where we're I don't know what's going on, Like I'm nervous and to.

Speaker 4: What seven is because none of them know what they're talking about.

Speaker 2: I know they don't, and I don't like it, and I don't want to be here, like I.

Speaker 4: But at least when we said like we had work, at least when we said psych there was a meaning to it, like.

And basically what we do every week is we pick a topic and we kind of March Madness bracket style take it from sixteen to one. So our first episode was Best Thanksgiving Side. Our second episode that's out now is Best Bravo Show, which hopefully your.

Speaker 4: And so far, yeah, my host is Jackie from Kind Mind, Smart Hearts, and the feedback we've gotten so far our first review said it was like being out of sleepover with your friends, which I loved. And basically the feedback I've been getting is everything is great except for the opinions.

Speaker 2: Yes, the Mormons, But I did watch all of the Housewives, and I look great.

Speaker 4: We're in business, and I'm on like episode I'm halfway through episode nine of Mormon Wives.

Speaker 2: Oh my god today because but y'all, don't worry. I have a reunion situation coming. He's coming together this weekend. It'll come out depending on when this comes out in a few days when after I watched the reunion. But your thoughts on stasy hosting it, it's not a Nick Vile which were last year?

Speaker 3: Well why do both? Like Nick was not great? Nick was not great.

Speaker 4: He was not he was not neutral, like came like I was not into him. I'm not like I'm not super familiar with him, but I didn't think it was great stacy for a woman who made like loving rancher personality like you, I don't know. I said to someone recently that I'm with these things.

Speaker 2: Right, but at least she's in a space where she kind of can't harm anybody with any kind of ignorant views that she may or may not have grown out of since two years ago, which we hope, we hope sad is. Yeah, we just got to put her in a room for the white women and Layla.

Speaker 3: Right, And that's what my first thought was. I mean, there's a chance.

Speaker 2: I mean, Leyla found out she was black this year, but and I don't say that really late than never, yeah, better like than never. It's just the idea that she did not know that her hair need a different texture. Let me tell you season one, when I first started following most of these ladies, after I followed them on TikTok and the show came out, I looked at Layla going to jay Z Styles And this was not me sided with Denny, but I was concerned. I was like, do I know something that nobody else knows? But I don't think one, Jesse know how to do black hair, and two Layla's hair is not able to hold.

Speaker 2: I couldn't. This is crazy. And she did catch. I said, maybe she knows something I don't know. She didn't, but she did find out. And I actually really appreciated this season something like that happening because shout out to Layla for, you know, learning that about herself, and I get it, probably growing up in an all white community, like like white as snow, like painfully white community, like it is chrisp White up in that bitch like this white and.

Speaker 3: White Panton's Color of the Year twenty twenty six.

Speaker 4: Yeah, no, for me, go look it up if you haven't seen it, because what the hell?

Speaker 2: Because listen, I'm like from the snow, it's giving like they all look alike. So I'm like, Okay, maybe it was Leila's just like following this same vibe, but instead she stood up for herself, got what she needed and for y'all. I don't know in real time, Jesse actually had the weavologist official term thank you that Laylah had on the show that she got her air done. She had her come and teach jay z Styles school. I don't know if she taught everybody or she just taught Jesse, but either way, she was educated.

Speaker 2: And then they made a TikTok together naturally because as it's mom talk, what are your thoughts on mom talk? What do you think, what does mom talk stand for to you? I'm keeping her running list on my thread, So what does what do you say?

Speaker 1: What?

Speaker 4: Every year there's like a word of the year. Like last year it was intentions.

Speaker 3: It was like, what are your intentions?

Speaker 4: So this year they are standing for vulnerability like drink every time you hear vulnerability on that show, and you'll be black out in half an hour.

Speaker 2: Yeah, and accountability and accountability Whitney or you know any of those things. Yeah.

Speaker 4: And I was very pleased with the Pride episode and them talking about like directly saying we don't agree with the Church on this, like just out saying that, like, ye, that would be I would imagine living in that bubble potentially a scary thing or an intimidating thing to do.

Speaker 3: And they completely were just like, no, this is who we are, and like we don't, we don't believe in that.

Speaker 4: So I think I think each season they're like becoming more progressive and and it's it's just interesting to watch because.

Speaker 3: What I'm confused about now, can you remind me what Whitney did that was so wrong? I don't remember.

Speaker 2: It's okay because because I am going to have joy and telling reminding people where we started from where we're at with her being roxy frickin' heart. Well that, yeah, that's crazy because where we started was her crying and dancing in the while her son was just born and diagnosed with RSV. So she's dancing and crying, dead ass in pigtail braids and she's doing the dance with the caption coming up of he was just, yeah, it's not funny. What the hell are we talking about?

Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, you know she was like waiting for the doctor to come in and say he's going to be okay, because she's like, you can I make the dance?

Speaker 3: Yes?

Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, she had to.

Speaker 2: I said, so I have more information, But yeah, we've gone from that to her being Roxy. Heart her so much, it's so deep that she moved away. I think she was living in like Hawaii or something. She was living out of the state when her husband, Connor was caught on Tender not grinder.

Speaker 1: Stop saying that, guys.

Speaker 2: He's just looking for women, but which is far bigger like that, that's the problem, that's the prime And he was on Tender. The scandal really shook her, and then the looping in of her with the swinging thing she was really upset about and between all of that, she moved, but the.

Speaker 1: Show got picked up.

Speaker 2: Around Taylor, so she went back, which is a pattern for Whitney. The girls just want you to know this year, it seems like you keep leaving and coming back when you know that you can get something out of it. But this is He said that it will be one of us to gets to go and dancing with the Scars, and that one of us should be me. Yeah, I'm.

Speaker 4: I just feel like that there can all the things that like go on on this show.

Speaker 2: I like Jason. Lets y'all tell me Jace otherwise he's really quiet. He's Macy's husband, Like, he doesn't do anything but his probably like him. So they are supportive because they've got a cousin okay, which is fine, but.

Speaker 1: It's just like, you know, that's their reasoning.

Speaker 2: It's so interesting because you know, Macy and Jace, they're like the super Mormon ones, right, And I just think that it's such an interesting contrast watching these two shows switch one. Both take place in the same place, like there are two camera crews at the moment, at least around in Salt Lake City and all the Utah adjacents and filming very different Mormon wives experiences. Okay, because on the one hand, you do have your straight laced secret wives whose biggest thing is fighting each other sober about lies that they are.

Speaker 2: I mean, they're they're ready to go, but they take their religion very seriously. But the girls that don't don't but did right, and the ones that don't anymore live in shame or you know, Taylor, please give yourself some grace. Jesus Christ.

Speaker 1: I really hate watching her shit on herself. It's so sad.

Speaker 1: And the only reason that most of these girls will not go very.

Speaker 2: Far is because they're Mormon and in Utah, where everything is a crime. I mean, bikini photos, silhouettes, just you're in a bra, he's sitting it was a BAKITTI Oh my god. I just love like the fights that the gurlies on the Mormon Wives have because they're the grievances are so the crimes are bigger. They seem bigger, bigger, even though they're.

Speaker 2: But on Housewives of Salt Lake City also girlies in and out of the Mormon church, and we're watching them rip a flask okay, and they're like, look at all these Mormon girls teaching me how to drink. I'm like, huh, this is totally different. They're wearing costumes, like where the Mormon girlies are all wearing the same things there, Like they're all dressed the same sweats camo and an occasional garment or two.

Speaker 4: I mean, I feel like Halara is an executive producer on the show.

Speaker 3: Yes, at this point.

Speaker 4: Like they're all in their sets all the time. And don't get me wrong, I'm jealous. I would love to be in a set all.

Speaker 1: The like y'all look skinny and hot in sweat clothes. That's crazy and.

Speaker 3: I have to leisure.

Speaker 4: And can we just talk about what Jesse was wearing when Marciano came to her hotel room.

Speaker 1: Okay, first of all, I was Marciano there.

Speaker 3: She had to prove her innocence.

Speaker 1: Well, we're gonna wait for the light detector tests.

Speaker 3: Can we make a rule please? Can we make a rule please? At light detector tests, you do not belong on reality TV at all.

Speaker 2: No more, No, they can't do it. Like we're done. We need to retire light detector tests. We need to retire the murder mystery parties, and honestly, we need to retire whatever the hell Whitney brought a couple parties ago, like whatever that man was a psychic palm leader.

Speaker 4: Okay, And I don't know why people continue to confide in her because.

Speaker 2: She's literally on a camera. Who cares? And I'm like, oh, to me, I don't want my I'll deal with that later. I don't need my friend telling the girl. I hate that I hate her. That's crazy.

Speaker 3: Understand that's true. But she's basically like, operates on a swivel chair.

Speaker 2: So you're wild to me. Yeah, the Slough costume that we started with, I said, oh, this is an unseerious show, Like I just it's interesting to me, And I know this is not the same thing. It's probably a poor comparison, but it's interesting to me that she can't involve Todd with the women because he's a serious man and the rumors and allegations of him making out and farting and looking at people looking at girlies on the plane are so wild that he's a serious man and he can't have that. But you're a sloth in an airport and a man could barely fucking flinch.

Speaker 1: He didn't know.

Speaker 2: He was like, oh wow, you scared me, and she was like put him I. He's like, it looks like you're a sloth. Is this your bag? Like come on, man, does he I'm serious?

Speaker 4: I know it kind of remember when everyone hated Shane Emily's husband.

Speaker 2: On Yes and then like like slowly when people look.

Speaker 4: Yeah, and it's like, okay, this is just he has an off tone, like this is that is not happening with Todd. Todd is not warming up or or stepping back, Like then don't be on camera at all.

Speaker 1: Season Like one of them was, let me listen, where is Seth?

Speaker 2: But like that's why she's pissed, you know, because he's so.

Speaker 4: He's so boring, like he doesn't seem to get a kick out of her, you know.

Speaker 2: And I at least wanted him to laugh with her.

Speaker 4: You know what I mean, like you show us a little bit of something somewhere where we can be like, okay, we get it now. It just seems like you're putting up with just someboe who doesn't like you that much.

Speaker 2: Yeah, She's like, well, I choose to be married to Todd, and I think that's fair and understandable, but and the right thing to do if you're married. But i'd like you to make the choice because you want to and it's a good thing going. It's not like it because you know he takes good care of when and stepped in when you needed somebody. Yeah, understood, But we don't need to.

Speaker 1: You don't owe him anything.

Speaker 2: And it does sound like you are you tell from what you're telling Whitney, it's not always the best. You feel like you're gonna not be on the same page later because you're not really on the same page now and you're not having that same intimacy. But you're also like, you don't want anyone to say any rumors about him because you're in a monogat mismarriage. But like one does he know that because it's all song he's happy either. Yeah, yeah, I'm confused.

Speaker 4: Well, but then when Muzzy comes in, it's similar to Taylor. It's like, oh, this is she's terrible to you, So this is like what love has been for her.

Speaker 2: Y's just like people who are into it.

Speaker 4: And it's like she's working really hard and I feel like she's a beautiful woman.

Speaker 3: I don't understand what her career was.

Speaker 4: I would love to see her working like her work if I don't know, maybe Sho doesn't work.

Speaker 3: But outside the home.

Speaker 4: I would just love to see her. You know how we get a little bit of glimpse of the women outside of the group sometimes right right, I don't feel like we've gotten that with her. It's always been just Turn Todd or her with the women. So I would love to I don't know, Well, I start something, do something.

Speaker 2: Not just apparently very big and like the philanthropic scene in Salt Lake City, but allegedly this past year there's been some lack of dues being paid by Todd, allegedly allegedly kind of like I don't know, that's a control thing at your place or because he has the money.
