205. Bravo Breaking News and Selling Sunset w/Selle Brooks (@whoaskedmepodcast)
Field Notes
BIG week in bravo news. Even though Selle came to The Mix to talk the new season of Selling Sunset (the good the bad the cringe), there was also some news right before recording that needed to be discussed. Then of course this new season of Selling Sunset (LA) NEEDED to be discussed and if you follow Selle on threads, you know she had big thoughts and opinions (didn't we all!) about Chelsea v Mary, Chrishell v Emma's poor choices, and the bald men behind it all. Jump back into the Mix with us!
Be back after Thanksgiving. thank you for listening and any way you support the show!

Speaker 1: Sounds Truss.
Speaker 2: Hello, Hello, Hello, beautiful wonderful mixologist. It's your girl Moni again.
Speaker 1: Y'all, I'm back again, and it is You're in the
Speaker 1: mix with Amani and the set of Brooks is here
Speaker 1: from who asked me, I am so happy to be
Speaker 1: in the mix with you.
Speaker 2: Thank you for coming back. How are you doing?
Speaker 1: Of course?
Speaker 3: Of course I'm great. How are you?
Speaker 2: I'm good?
Speaker 1: I mean are We're like living in the overflow right now.
Speaker 1: I know people like us who are into the reality TV,
Speaker 1: the pop culture and being like I love being in
Speaker 1: the in the mix, like so like on the bandwagon.
Speaker 2: I don't like to miss a miss a movement.
Speaker 1: This week today, even from where we're recording is has
Speaker 1: been like bananas, are you gagging right now?
Speaker 3: Look, I'm literal, we have O truly, god on.
Speaker 1: I don't even know what it was, but no, it
Speaker 1: was in one of my group chats. I opened one
Speaker 1: of my group chats and all I saw before I
Speaker 1: even opened the link it said Mia Thornton arrested. I said,
Speaker 1: I texted everybody. I texted Raven, I texted Kendrick, I
Speaker 1: texted ter Riha. I literally like the British are coming
Speaker 1: the British are coming MEO was arrested.
Speaker 2: I didn't know. I was literally one. I had a
Speaker 2: love don't you like? Love it though?
Speaker 1: That people not to send it to you that yeah,
Speaker 1: it really made my day. And I've trained every one
Speaker 1: in my life so well. The people that I don't
Speaker 1: even who were like got it from like real news sources.
Speaker 1: They were like, hey, and it's one of your housewives.
Speaker 1: She did a thing. She's arrested.
Speaker 2: You should know this.
Speaker 1: It's like, oh my god, this is such a big deal.
Speaker 1: Let me tell you. But while I tell you, I'm
Speaker 1: gonna post about this. I too was like I gotta
Speaker 1: tell you and you and this person I was between,
Speaker 1: like is no one gonna care because it's like Mia
Speaker 1: from Potomac? Or is everyone gonna care because it's me
Speaker 1: and for a potomac but like on steroids on brain
Speaker 1: literally and we like, unfortunately this is doing nothing for
Speaker 1: the people who say real Housewives of Potomac should be
Speaker 1: called real housewives of prison. Okay, I mean, and you
Speaker 1: know that was one of my questions.
Speaker 2: It's like, did she with me?
Speaker 1: I don't know. Did she do it because she needed
Speaker 1: the stuff and the money, or does she do it
Speaker 1: allegedly because she wanted to be back with the crew
Speaker 1: and that's.
Speaker 2: A good crew.
Speaker 1: That's how you fit in over there. It's so bizarre
Speaker 1: because like this is all crimes are avoidable, just to
Speaker 1: be clear, right, nobody needed to do any of the crimes,
Speaker 1: but this one is just so like girl what so
Speaker 1: they were she was renting an apartment, a furnished apartment
Speaker 1: from someone who apparently lived in China.
Speaker 3: She was living with somebody named Jared. Who is Jared?
Speaker 3: I don't know? And they moved.
Speaker 1: Out in the middle of the night last month in
Speaker 1: October and took the lady's furniture and her six hundred
Speaker 1: and fifty dollars TV with them.
Speaker 3: Where is the stuff? Mia?
Speaker 1: If you rented a furnite apartment, why did you take
Speaker 1: furniture with you? And she's like in the airport, She's like,
Speaker 1: I need to get in touch with my roommate.
Speaker 2: Roommate, roommate, your mother of three.
Speaker 1: I don't understand roommates, and why and who is this
Speaker 1: person around your kids?
Speaker 3: And why are you Jared?
Speaker 2: Why did you do this?
Speaker 1: I mean, this is why if you and I thank
Speaker 1: you for appreciating the rhetoric and the tone of my
Speaker 1: caption of my post when I posted about this, because
Speaker 1: like she, I was confused for what she moved to
Speaker 1: Atlanta four. She moved to Atlanta four something I don't
Speaker 1: know who scamming because she just had to move to
Speaker 1: the scam capital. One must believe you are just choosing
Speaker 1: to live a different life and Atlanta is the best
Speaker 1: place to do it, that that's where your contacts or
Speaker 1: whatever are. But I don't understand what you needed to
Speaker 1: leave the DNV so badly, so quickly for for Atlanta.
Speaker 1: Nothing good comes from people I know who moved from
Speaker 1: the DV to Atlanta, at least just that pipeline. Yeah,
Speaker 1: I'm always like they're like, Okay, I want a fresh start.
Speaker 1: And they said, Lena, and to tall you something I
Speaker 1: wasn't intern I was going to be a lawyer at
Speaker 1: some point.
Speaker 2: That was a lifetime ago now, it seems.
Speaker 1: And I did a criminal law internship for a summer
Speaker 1: while me and my wife were dating in Georgia where
Speaker 1: she was in school, and I.
Speaker 2: Flew down there moved in there for her a bit.
Speaker 1: The Fulton County Jail and the Fulton County Police Department
Speaker 1: in general stress the whole thing. I know that's not
Speaker 1: a county. George's not place I play. And now the
Speaker 1: major reason why for me, how so many people like
Speaker 1: to get the the scam cabin. I don't know how
Speaker 1: y'all risk it. I guess I'm just risk averse, like
Speaker 1: through the fullest, like I'm not. I don't even know
Speaker 1: if I'm scam averse. I think I'm just risk averse
Speaker 1: of scamming in Atlanta. That don't seem like a good idea.
Speaker 1: I don't know one thing about me. I am gonna
Speaker 1: follow the rules.
Speaker 3: I am a rule follower, Like I.
Speaker 1: Don't know if people are like I'm shocked by that,
Speaker 1: but I am like, I'm like, no, let's not go
Speaker 1: over there.
Speaker 3: Just don't intro people think.
Speaker 1: I get that exact same I get that exact same
Speaker 1: reaction and response because I seem like i'd be risk
Speaker 1: averse sometimes to people, even though one, I'm an elementary
Speaker 1: school teacher that should tell you everything you need to
Speaker 1: to women in America, So I'm trying to Yeah, I.
Speaker 2: Just want to live boo, I just want to Okay.
Speaker 1: Like three, I like, yeah, I always talk about you
Speaker 1: know I'm smoking, but maybe girl, it's legal in all
Speaker 1: three places that I live.
Speaker 2: Yeah, I didn't even drew. Okay.
Speaker 1: The most illegal thing I have done to record is
Speaker 1: I started drinking six months prior to my twenty first
Speaker 1: birthday because I didn't want to embarrass myself on my
Speaker 1: twenty first birthday in front of people who were much
Speaker 1: more risk friendly than I was and already were drinking.
Speaker 1: But a bitch waited till she was twenty one, Okay.
Speaker 1: I was just be fair drinking like oh little SIPs.
Speaker 1: I had my first sip of alcoholic twelve, Okay. Then
Speaker 1: I did drink in high school. I drank all through
Speaker 1: at high school. I think I started drinking at like sixteen,
Speaker 1: maybe like yeah, like really like.
Speaker 2: Yeah, six seventeen June type of thing. Or did you
Speaker 2: just like it at that point and you were like
Speaker 2: I liked it.
Speaker 1: I always when I say okay, I should fix this,
Speaker 1: because when I say risk averse like I did, I
Speaker 1: started like smoking weed. I smoked weed for the first
Speaker 1: time at fifteen. Still haven't really cut that one out.
Speaker 1: What we do is teens and youths is very different
Speaker 1: than like risk averse adults because me again, you do
Speaker 1: have three children, you are literally older than me. You're
Speaker 1: older than most. Okay, you're.
Speaker 3: Well, and Okay, I have to point this out about me.
Speaker 3: A two.
Speaker 1: Not only did she get arrested in the airport, I
Speaker 1: don't know, because again I've never been arrested. I've never
Speaker 1: been arrested because, make no mistake, while I drank as
Speaker 1: a teen, and I did go to house parties, I
Speaker 1: was a runner. Okay, if the came, my mom could
Speaker 1: not My mom could not be called by the Ol'fallen
Speaker 1: police department. I could not be in the custody of
Speaker 1: anybody else except for where I said I was, so
Speaker 1: I ran right.
Speaker 3: Yeah, I've never been arrested. I don't know.
Speaker 1: I just assumed that when you got arrested in the airport,
Speaker 1: they took you around some backway or something. They were
Speaker 1: walking her in front of what the in front of
Speaker 1: the Starbucks, in front of the Hudson news stand, in
Speaker 1: front of handcuffs, if in fact to the point where
Speaker 1: like I was watching the footage like and the and
Speaker 1: looking at the photos. Because again, my wife having gone
Speaker 1: to school down there while she was getting her doctorate,
Speaker 1: she was there for so long. I have been going
Speaker 1: in and out of Hartsville Jackson Airport so many times,
Speaker 1: not to mention is it the busiest airport like ever?
Speaker 3: Yeah?
Speaker 2: I hate I hate it. I hate it, and I know.
Speaker 1: It's not even no shade to Atlanta because y'all hate
Speaker 1: it too.
Speaker 2: I've heard it.
Speaker 1: Yeah, I myself have been approached by many a scammer
Speaker 1: at the Hartsville Jackson Airport many times. I hate it,
Speaker 1: and honestly, it's because it greaves my spirit. I low
Speaker 1: key want to give in because I understand the hustle.
Speaker 1: But then I'm like, no, you can't scan me. I
Speaker 1: am hustleless.
Speaker 2: Look I need the ashle too.
Speaker 1: I just can't do what you do because I'm scared, Okay,
Speaker 1: but I respect it. I'm just scared. Please don't hurt me.
Speaker 1: Like so, I don't understand, but I knew the route
Speaker 1: that she was taking. I was like, oh, no, they're
Speaker 1: gonna take her all the way?
Speaker 2: Oh she up there?
Speaker 1: She upstairs? So she about a Calie Cosmetics machine down
Speaker 1: the escalator. Are they gonna take her on the plane train?
Speaker 1: That was my question.
Speaker 3: Because there's no way.
Speaker 2: Out, my yay, there's no way.
Speaker 1: Everybody else is known who has been to Hartsville knows
Speaker 1: we either have to walk the twenty minutes, but everybody
Speaker 1: gets on the plane train that is crowded as hell.
Speaker 2: Is she allowed to hold onto the rails if she's
Speaker 2: in handcuffs?
Speaker 3: What do we say?
Speaker 1: I don't even know if I would prefer to be
Speaker 1: walked through the whole airport at the twenty minute walk
Speaker 1: in handcuffs or get on that plane train in handcuff.
Speaker 3: I don't even know, because like it's one thing.
Speaker 1: I'll walk through the airport when you're like passing people
Speaker 1: and people may not be paying attention to you. You
Speaker 1: get on that plane train and people are gonna notice
Speaker 1: when the cops are on there in close quarters with
Speaker 1: somebody in cusso. Yeah, because the bish on a loudspeaker,
Speaker 1: don't stop talking. She no, you you got three gates
Speaker 1: to go before you even can get the ground transportation.
Speaker 1: And oh my god, she's getting off of a plane.
Speaker 2: She had to be at a gate.
Speaker 1: And again at Hartsfield, you have to go three gates
Speaker 1: before you can even get unless you are on date A.
Speaker 3: You have to be.
Speaker 1: You have to stay on that plane drain until my
Speaker 1: ground transportation, which is after tea and baggage play. That's
Speaker 1: four stops in handle. Oh my god, I'm sorry, I'm
Speaker 1: not I just don't get it. And why do you
Speaker 1: need to call your roommate and not a lawyer? No? No, okay,
Speaker 1: So I did notice in there because you know, I'm
Speaker 1: gonna turn the volume up, and really like I almost
Speaker 1: took notes.
Speaker 3: I noticed that she said in there. She was like,
Speaker 3: can we call him?
Speaker 1: And she's like to get to the storage unit because
Speaker 1: this is just enough. They've been eating, she says something
Speaker 1: like they've been emailing me. She's said something about a
Speaker 1: storage unit, and she's like, it's just enough.
Speaker 3: It's just this is enough.
Speaker 2: What's enough?
Speaker 1: What?
Speaker 2: What storage?
Speaker 1: Why is the stuff in the storage unit? When you
Speaker 1: rented a furnished apartment, the whole point.
Speaker 2: Of it being furnished is that the furniture is already there,
Speaker 2: so it gets supposed to stay stay there.
Speaker 3: You can come and go.
Speaker 1: The armchair and the like the armoire and the TV day.
Speaker 3: And like here's the thing. TV day.
Speaker 1: The TV was six hundred and fifty dollars, So that's
Speaker 1: a pretty big TV because you can get a nice
Speaker 1: sized TV for like three hundred dollars nowadays it's for
Speaker 1: real Walmart.
Speaker 3: I saw fifty five in the corner.
Speaker 1: Yeah, I saw at five in and wal Mart for
Speaker 1: like three two fifty two seventy five exactly.
Speaker 2: So we're talking of nice TV huge.
Speaker 1: Yeah, And I just want to say there are there
Speaker 1: are so many ways to get furniture nowadays. You can
Speaker 1: use after pay on Wayfair and Ashley Furniture has no
Speaker 1: interest for twenty months, twenty two months they have a
Speaker 1: Black Friday sale.
Speaker 3: I did see the billboard the other day. There's options.
Speaker 1: Wait, so this inner program, I'm applying. They asking you
Speaker 1: to apply to me if they will ask me to
Speaker 1: be on their creative program.
Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm sure they'll ask you, Girling.
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, you you've been on TV.
Speaker 1: I'm just saying there are options. You know, start a podcast,
Speaker 1: do anything else other than literally anything else other than
Speaker 1: go to jail.
Speaker 2: Britt started a podcast. I just need you to do
Speaker 2: something else.
Speaker 3: Britt who Eatie No.
Speaker 2: From New York. I mean she grants it. She hasn't done.
Speaker 3: Brint from New York, Jenny when when.
Speaker 1: That's it's like out of sight, out of mind. But
Speaker 1: because she don't even have no episodes, but she did
Speaker 1: she tried to do something. But you're not your attention
Speaker 1: in a different way other than read it through the
Speaker 1: airport because also Atlanta cops don't give a fuck if
Speaker 1: they have that. Also, any word on what airlines she flew,
Speaker 1: that's what I know.
Speaker 3: It has to be Delta.
Speaker 2: Oh it has to be.
Speaker 1: But if she's still in TVs, it might not be.
Speaker 1: Delta is expensive to people who.
Speaker 3: Scam, it is Delta is yeah, Okay, I do like
Speaker 3: the Delta seats though, I do.
Speaker 2: I mean yeah, and it's a Delta airport, so like
Speaker 2: it makes sense. When you don't like Delta out of Atlanta,
Speaker 2: you don't.
Speaker 1: Have a nice time because no, literally, last time, last
Speaker 1: time I flew into Atlanta was Delta, and I literally
Speaker 1: I probably get And it's funny because I only flew
Speaker 1: Delta because my mom was paying for that flight because
Speaker 1: I was meeting her down there.
Speaker 3: I only fly Delta when my mom pays for it.
Speaker 3: And I got on that plane, I was like, this
Speaker 3: is not for real.
Speaker 1: It's like, okay, I was somebody's buddy. People want a
Speaker 1: flight that their mom or whatever got free free flights,
Speaker 1: and you get the flowers.
Speaker 2: Friend, I was friend, and I said, exactly, we about
Speaker 2: to be friends forever. B ff, I like this.
Speaker 1: I felt like fresh princes are different, you know, sipping
Speaker 1: orange juice out of a champagne glass.
Speaker 2: Yeah, listen, it's giving fraudulent.
Speaker 1: I just felt like, you know, I think it's just
Speaker 1: interesting because the criminals were at Bravo kan in one
Speaker 1: way or another alleged and otherwise a legend convicted, and
Speaker 1: it's just like the very next couple of days, that's
Speaker 1: so crazy to me, Like it's just so I just
Speaker 1: I'm like, Nia, damn, you.
Speaker 2: Are thirsty even when you aren't trying.
Speaker 1: But she was laughing at Wendy for being arrested and
Speaker 1: was like, oh, not the professor, not the professor, And I'm.
Speaker 3: Like, mom, But then I also I bats owner. Look
Speaker 3: at the scene. Look at the scene.
Speaker 2: That's all I could think of, Girl, they got you
Speaker 2: in cuffs.
Speaker 3: Crazy.
Speaker 1: I posted the pictures to my stories. I might even
Speaker 1: make a highlight because the woes and flood and lows
Speaker 1: of Mia Thornton is like abundant insane.
Speaker 2: You had me when she was dating Bobby Valentino.
Speaker 1: Because I don't because where is Bobby Valentino in Atlanta?
Speaker 2: Okay?
Speaker 1: Can I think I've shared this on my show before,
Speaker 1: But one of my best friends. Her trainer was dating
Speaker 1: Bobby Valentino until unexpected, like very casually having fun, hanging out,
Speaker 1: sleeping with literally up until he met Mia. He broke
Speaker 1: it off with her, like they stopped seeing each other randomly.
Speaker 1: Swear to god, it was on the shade room. Two
Speaker 1: days later they were on jess Ki's because she was like, yeah,
Speaker 1: so because she was like, my friend was being like
Speaker 1: late ghosted, low key like to her training sessions, because
Speaker 1: the trader was like, I'm runna late stirt those warm.
Speaker 3: Ups, Oh my god, oh my god.
Speaker 2: So for but when that was your clout relationship, that
Speaker 2: told me everything I needed to know. We're in trouble.
Speaker 3: Insane, like not only is Bobby out of money?
Speaker 1: Like not only is me a out of money, Bobby
Speaker 1: must have also been out of money because why did
Speaker 1: you do this? I don't understand it at at all,
Speaker 1: Like this is maybe it's the non criminal in us,
Speaker 1: it's the risk of verse, like I don't even know
Speaker 1: if it' said on risk a verse. I might take
Speaker 1: the risk, but I'm so afraid of getting caught because
Speaker 1: I cannot do time. I'll tell you when I tell you.
Speaker 1: I watched the Oranges the New Black, and it was not.
Speaker 1: It didn't seem fun to me. I didn't know people
Speaker 1: like my pap was like Camp prison, like we're Teresa one.
Speaker 1: That didn't seem fun. Whatever No did for nine ten
Speaker 1: months at camp, I didn't say I.
Speaker 3: Need to leave, I need my free will.
Speaker 1: Girl.
Speaker 2: I'm not No, I'm not I like that weird schedule.
Speaker 1: One of my biggest fears is being wrongfully blamed for
Speaker 1: a crime, in not being able to prove my innocence
Speaker 1: and going to jail, no sail.
Speaker 2: Look, are we the same person?
Speaker 1: Have we just spent forty minutes literally just being like, no, same,
Speaker 1: Like y'all are not unless you're watching the visuals on
Speaker 1: Patreon like we're nodding ferociously like yes, saying go to jail.
Speaker 2: Listen. Okay. So it's one of the reasons why.
Speaker 1: And this is no shade to twins out there who
Speaker 1: are identical, but I've always believed that identical twins are
Speaker 1: like evil by trade, because they have the potential to
Speaker 1: be evil individually. And that's not fair, right because DNA
Speaker 1: is nine point nine percent when they test it, And.
Speaker 2: What if I'm risk averse and you're a murderer.
Speaker 1: Okay, and they find our DNA we're identical, and it
Speaker 1: says nine to nine point nine percent. The change the
Speaker 1: the point that it's you. And you want to know
Speaker 1: what's crazy. I literally watched an episode of a show
Speaker 1: last night that gave me that entire thing. Literally, the
Speaker 1: twin was mad at him, wanted revenge for a long
Speaker 1: time ago, identical, It looked identical, and they got twin actors.
Speaker 2: It was crazy. I was like, oh my god, proven
Speaker 2: my point and he wanted to get back in them,
Speaker 2: so he stole somebody's.
Speaker 1: Bracelet to send his brother to jail until let's brother apologize.
Speaker 2: I said, oh no, no, I can't do it. I
Speaker 2: can't do time.
Speaker 1: I watched sixty sixty Days In while I smoke a happyetti,
Speaker 1: and then I get sad for both of them, which
Speaker 1: is why I put down the happy EDTI. But I
Speaker 1: keep watching sixty days In to remind me to make
Speaker 1: sure I follow up after I send in the turbotext.
Speaker 1: Because you're not sending me to jail.
Speaker 3: I know you're not.
Speaker 2: I would like my IRS receipt that you got it,
Speaker 2: because I'm not going.
Speaker 1: I don't even understand how Teresa has been able to
Speaker 1: avoid the jail again because like, what's going on Bravo?
Speaker 2: KHNS really was this weekend? It was a cons conference.
Speaker 2: Like I don't know how she did it.
Speaker 3: I don't know.
Speaker 2: I couldn't do it.
Speaker 1: I just know that, Like literally I watched sixty Days
Speaker 1: in and one of the many of the seasons are
Speaker 1: in Fulton County, which is how I know.
Speaker 2: I couldn't be. I couldn't be me, baby, No, no, y'all.
Speaker 1: Though we are here to talk about selling Sunset, it's
Speaker 1: a broad we're brought hello. First of all, all roads
Speaker 1: lead to Bravo. We can have that discussion all the time.
Speaker 1: And too, that was the biggest news.
Speaker 2: To happen to me.
Speaker 1: And it happened like an hour and a half before
Speaker 1: I was supposed to talk, So it was like, girl,
Speaker 1: would you say this.
Speaker 2: I'm okay, I'm gonna talk to you in a minute.
Speaker 1: But wow, Leah, yeah, damn, we're gonna get custody, Like
Speaker 1: what's happening? I don't know?
Speaker 2: It was a custody. Last Bravo thing? Did you see that?
Speaker 2: Meghan King Edmunds just lost custody the Jim Edmunds.
Speaker 3: I'm sorry, what.
Speaker 1: Today just now a couple an hour ago, same time,
Speaker 1: it's too much. How did he's temporarily lost physical custody
Speaker 1: fully of all children?
Speaker 3: To Jim, Oh, something must be wrong.
Speaker 1: What's going on? Something?
Speaker 3: Okay, because they're here in Saint Louis. I'm pretty sure.
Speaker 3: I think so cold maybe I've seen I've seen both
Speaker 3: of them before. She was really nice. He was not.
Speaker 1: He was actually, ironically really really mean to my now
Speaker 1: ex husband. He was like, my my ex husband was
Speaker 1: a manager at like a social bar and that's like
Speaker 1: really popular out in the county, kind of near where
Speaker 1: like Jim and them hang out. And he was like
Speaker 1: drunk and just belligerent as we know to be. And
Speaker 1: my ex husband was a new manager at the time,
Speaker 1: and he didn't recognize him.
Speaker 3: So he was like, who the fuck is that? Why
Speaker 3: is he looking at me?
Speaker 1: Bull? But I'm like, I don't know, because you're fucking
Speaker 1: Jim Edmonds in Saint Louis.
Speaker 3: What And he's like, when did he get hired? And
Speaker 3: it's like, dude, she'll talk up.
Speaker 2: Oh my god, what Yeah.
Speaker 1: First of all, I've never seen it for Jim, so
Speaker 1: that really just makes me. I don't it's this certain people,
Speaker 1: and I have I have one of those kind of minutes.
Speaker 1: Brian McKnight. Unfortunately, oh my god, knew that before.
Speaker 2: He hated on his own kids.
Speaker 1: But he was an asshole to my dad, and my
Speaker 1: dad is complicated, but he was all told to him
Speaker 1: once upon yesteryear in a very similar fashion. When first
Speaker 1: of all, sir, you're only acting like this because you
Speaker 1: know people recognize.
Speaker 3: You, right right.
Speaker 1: Why are you asking why people are looking at you
Speaker 1: when you know you're acting like this because you get
Speaker 1: looked at.
Speaker 2: I don't understand your confusion.
Speaker 3: Mm hmm.
Speaker 2: Okay, So, speaking of inflated egos and macroaggressions that look
Speaker 2: like racism, act like racism, and if it walks like
Speaker 2: a duck, it's very from selling Sunset.
Speaker 1: Mixologists, tis the season to take care of yourselves. Okay,
Speaker 1: y'all know I love to yet, but I also love
Speaker 1: to take care of myself. And did you know you
Speaker 1: can do both of those things in therapy? Of course
Speaker 1: you did. Y'all know I love therapy.
Speaker 2: You know I love talking about mental health. I've been
Speaker 2: in therapy for years.
Speaker 1: But I found myself in a lurch this past summer
Speaker 1: when my favorite therapists that I've been working with moved
Speaker 1: away and could no longer see me because she couldn't
Speaker 1: take my insurance in my state anymore. I found myself
Speaker 1: going through so many transitions this summer and ready to
Speaker 1: crash out by fall like a housewife on a plane,
Speaker 1: and between all the unknowns of the world right now

Speaker 1: you here today, Sail, because your things on the threads
Speaker 1: could not. I okay, I love Selling Sunset. I've loved
Speaker 1: it since the first season. This season, naturally, it was
Speaker 1: hard for a lot of people to watch, whether you
Speaker 1: are a person of.
Speaker 3: Color or not.
Speaker 2: A lot of people are just like ill Illeah. A
Speaker 2: lot of fringe not.
Speaker 1: As fun for a lot of reasons, many of them
Speaker 1: being bigotry, many of them being caused by some of
Speaker 1: the people that you just really just felt like we
Speaker 1: took a one eighty and a left turn when was
Speaker 1: coming and as we were watching through this season, you
Speaker 1: were you know, really illustrating the processing that was happening
Speaker 1: for a lot of people, of at least me myself,
Speaker 1: of like why what are we watching? Happened between friends
Speaker 1: right and coal workers too at the same time, which
Speaker 1: really is like it was almost like we all chose
Speaker 1: to double down right now, And I think that was
Speaker 1: like a really heavy thing to witness.
Speaker 3: Yeah, or in real time?
Speaker 1: What was it? Like, what's your relationship with selling sun
Speaker 1: Set at least this you know, the main franchise, and
Speaker 1: how is this season for you? So I last season,
Speaker 1: I was when Mary started acting up last season with Chelsea.
Speaker 3: I remember.
Speaker 1: I will never forget that scene. It was like one
Speaker 1: of the first episodes in last season when they were
Speaker 1: like the beef really started and Mary started talking about Chelsea,
Speaker 1: and I literally said, oh oh, I literally remember because
Speaker 1: I didn't like Mary ever. I really have a hard
Speaker 1: time with people who like are like, uh, well, yeah,
Speaker 1: like you can't you can't stand up for shit, and
Speaker 1: you can't like make a definitive answer on anything. And
Speaker 1: you're supposed to be the boss, you're supposed to be
Speaker 1: the manager, Please get the fuck out of here.
Speaker 3: But when she started talking about Chelsea, I said, oh,
Speaker 3: oh oh oh.
Speaker 1: Oh, we are wow wow, And so I immediately was like, Okay,
Speaker 1: I am very sensitive to white women and how they
Speaker 1: like speak on black women and how they have conflict
Speaker 1: with black women because it can go really left really quickly.
Speaker 2: Yes, right, yes, and I feel I'm sorry, go ahead.
Speaker 3: A lot of people are like, oh, what black women
Speaker 3: and white women can't beef. That's not what I said.
Speaker 1: And as I always say, it's you're not racist because
Speaker 1: you have conflict with a black woman. But how you
Speaker 1: act when you have conflict with a black woman is
Speaker 1: what shows your true colors.
Speaker 2: Yeah, and how Mary.
Speaker 1: Acted within her conflict with Chelsea is what showed her
Speaker 1: true colors. So by the time we got to this season,
Speaker 1: you could not pay me to give a fuck that
Speaker 1: that house was broken into.
Speaker 3: You could not pay me to give.
Speaker 1: A fuck about a goddamn thing that has to do
Speaker 1: with miss Mary mac Okay, I don't give fuck. You
Speaker 1: also couldn't pay me to really give a fuck about
Speaker 1: Breathe from Day Die, because I don't like when people.
Speaker 3: Like act like the obvious is shocking. Do I think
Speaker 3: that Chelsea, I do think that. The only thing I
Speaker 3: will say is Chelsea did say what we were all
Speaker 3: thinking about. Nick Cannon.
Speaker 1: Right, I'm very annoyed by breathing Nick Cannon, because like,
Speaker 1: stop trying to make us think that y'all are in
Speaker 1: this unconventional, ethical, non monogamous relationship when you are not.
Speaker 1: You're not to tell me you've been locked in for
Speaker 1: ten years. You sound sly you do you were married
Speaker 1: to Johnny Manziel. That's untrue, that's yeah, And if that
Speaker 1: were true, it may be even more ridiculous because your
Speaker 1: son is like two, yeah, and he had a dozen
Speaker 1: kids on you boo, that's not a flex Like he
Speaker 1: was still married to Maria Carrey ten years ago, thank you?
Speaker 2: Okay, so like his kids aren't even ten.
Speaker 1: Sitting there saying I don't speak on Mariah. No, you
Speaker 1: don't speak on Mariah because she don't know you.
Speaker 2: What is there to speak on?
Speaker 3: What is there to speak on?
Speaker 1: Like Nick said, okay, well no, because she really is
Speaker 1: trying to be like, I'm like, we where you know,
Speaker 1: I let him do this?
Speaker 2: What are you talking about?
Speaker 1: Monroe Lydgal release got on Instagram and said, I have
Speaker 1: one brother. My dad has other siblings and I have
Speaker 1: half siblings.
Speaker 3: I have one brother.
Speaker 1: Yeah, that's about it, and that is her mother's child.
Speaker 1: She said, she don't know them, she's a twin. She's like, literally,
Speaker 1: if anybody knows the difference between my father's other children
Speaker 1: and the brother that I have, like my actual brother,
Speaker 1: that's different. Like yeah, what that lady is so crazy?
Speaker 1: And she hated Chelsea. She's insane out on it in
Speaker 1: a non mean way.
Speaker 2: I mean, they just hate it.
Speaker 1: That beautiful doing it and has an accent, and so
Speaker 1: it's really hard to hate on her.
Speaker 3: I will say, and the like.
Speaker 1: There was a couple times when Chelsea kept going, I
Speaker 1: was like, Chelsea, girl, drop it, like you you your
Speaker 1: point is made, Like your point is valid as fuck, right,
Speaker 1: but just drop it because this is her business and
Speaker 1: she sounds stupid. That's my thing when people like if
Speaker 1: I'm trying to get a point across, for sure, but
Speaker 1: once you start.
Speaker 3: Sounding stupid, I'm like, oh, never mindlo, you got it
Speaker 3: because you sound dumb.
Speaker 1: Right. But after that, Chelsea said, Okay, Brie, I'm sorry.
Speaker 1: Brie has a right to be like I'm never gonna
Speaker 1: fuck with Chelsea like that. Okay, cool, But I personally
Speaker 1: feel like it really was. I do personally feel like
Speaker 1: Brie came in with an attitude with Chelsea because I
Speaker 1: remember I had made a video back then when Chelsea
Speaker 1: they were all sitting around in the office and they
Speaker 1: were just talking real estate, right and Chelsea was like, Oh,
Speaker 1: what was your or how much did you bring in
Speaker 1: last year? And they were having that conversation, and Chelsea
Speaker 1: was like, just don't get discouraged, you know, because it
Speaker 1: can be your first couple of years, can be x
Speaker 1: y Z. Really just like having camaraderie being a coworker.
Speaker 1: And Brie got really like, Oh, I'm not going to
Speaker 1: be I brought in this much.
Speaker 3: I mind you. I don't think I've seen brisell one
Speaker 3: house since she came.
Speaker 1: On to Nick's giving her all these clients, these famous
Speaker 1: people who will do him the favor via text to
Speaker 1: show up on your show apparently and mic up and
Speaker 1: never buy a house from you because zero we're still
Speaker 1: looking at zero. I see you throw a fit, in
Speaker 1: a very unprofessional fit, and threatened to leave the agency.
Speaker 3: If Jason doesn't give you a bigger cut. Mind you,
Speaker 3: you have not. Actually I think she has sold one.
Speaker 3: I think she has sold one.
Speaker 1: Okay, I think I think for arguments sake, imna say
Speaker 1: she's in Like, yeah, I'm gonna give her one.
Speaker 3: I'm gonna give her one.
Speaker 1: Give her one, but it's not enough for you to
Speaker 1: be shaken up.
Speaker 2: Ball headed twins down.
Speaker 1: But I'm still looking at these ball headed twins sideways
Speaker 1: because aside.
Speaker 2: From Bree, you know, wanting buying her entire look.
Speaker 1: And then criticizing other people, Chelsea because of her doing
Speaker 1: you know whatever tweets and things to her body as well.
Speaker 1: It's kind of interesting. She acts like she is Nick
Speaker 1: Cannon's partner, like life partner, carry like she just is
Speaker 1: his new woman. When and and got people thinking that,
Speaker 1: like people really do think that. I've seen even like
Speaker 1: when the Shade Room and neighborhood talk, when some of
Speaker 1: them will report on her, they're just going based on
Speaker 1: what they see, and they'll be like, you know, Nick
Speaker 1: Cannon the girlfriend, long time girlfriend of Nick Cannon. I'm like,
Speaker 1: so one of six, do you know? Okay, I'm a
Speaker 1: little bit girlfriends more than I believe. No, literally, just
Speaker 1: so tad off, I was watching, I went back and
Speaker 1: I was bored. I needed some background noise, so I
Speaker 1: started watching Love and Hip Hop Atlanta.
Speaker 3: Okay, and Jessica what's her face was?
Speaker 1: Now?
Speaker 3: Is her name?
Speaker 1: Jessica? She was actually Nick Cannon's longtime girlfriend before he
Speaker 1: started having.
Speaker 2: Who what's her name Jessica dime?
Speaker 3: Maybe fit model, model, very skinny.
Speaker 2: Oh okay, keep talking, I'm gonna figure it out.
Speaker 3: Yeah.
Speaker 1: She and I was like, oh my god, I forgot
Speaker 1: that they did date for the longest because he did
Speaker 1: he turned out having started having all these motherfucking kids.
Speaker 1: It was his girlfriend, the one that we knew to
Speaker 1: be his girlfriend after Mariah.
Speaker 3: Yes, yes, that was the one we knew to.
Speaker 1: Be his girlfriend after Mariah, right, and we and I
Speaker 1: was like this poor girl because she was complaining about him.
Speaker 1: She was like, I'm so hurt he embarrassed me, blah
Speaker 1: blah blah. I was like, this poor girl because now
Speaker 1: we don't associate and actually it's not even boor he
Speaker 1: did you a favor.
Speaker 3: We don't associate her with him anymore. And that's my
Speaker 3: other thing. It's not like Bree got with a I'm
Speaker 3: trying to think of.
Speaker 1: Like an esteemed like person in the black community who
Speaker 1: who still sucks, but is like they're pulling rank who
Speaker 1: who like because it's not Nick, You're correct, it's not
Speaker 1: whyans would think so, I don't even think they would.
Speaker 1: You're right, because he's old to them too. Yeah, they
Speaker 1: do find him corny. I don't even know, Like I'm
Speaker 1: trying to think of like a OG two thousands hip
Speaker 1: hop person that maybe.
Speaker 3: It's like you're that's still very active.
Speaker 1: In the like industry. It's not like b pulled somebody
Speaker 1: like that. Like girl, it's fucking nick in it.
Speaker 3: Yeah, that's good. That's a good one.
Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm sure one of the hip love and hip
Speaker 1: hop girls on one of the shows is the act
Speaker 1: of fifty cent and now, yeah, I'm like reacts like
Speaker 1: she has this like street credit or this credit in
Speaker 1: the black community because she has been with Nick Cannon.
Speaker 3: We think Nick Cannon is fucking corny girl who.
Speaker 1: I love, don't cost the thing corny, Like that's the
Speaker 1: last No, Like he was too nerdy for Christina Milian
Speaker 1: and that really in two thousand and whatever, And so
Speaker 1: it's not the flex.
Speaker 2: You think it is. But she really does act like
Speaker 2: she does into blackness is hinged upon the fact that
Speaker 2: she's with Nick.
Speaker 1: Okay, and what I really want to say is like
Speaker 1: you and her sand breathe when Mariah Carrie got with
Speaker 1: Nick Cannon, we were like, Mariah, what are you doing?
Speaker 2: And that's why he literally got her name tattooed on
Speaker 2: his back shoulder blame.
Speaker 1: We were like Mariah and as an Arias just like
Speaker 1: Mariah who when I begin with people, sometimes people will
Speaker 1: be like, It's like they can really y'all can really
Speaker 1: be lover lovers and clocking when you're like when your.
Speaker 3: Lights turn on, baby, huh, you're.
Speaker 1: Just right, And it's kind of petty and a little funny,
Speaker 1: but like, yeah, so why did she sue a man?
Speaker 1: She could get a Nick Cannon, But then she also
Speaker 1: sue a man from wasting her time, which literally works
Speaker 1: off the engagement. She said, not only am I leaving you,
Speaker 1: I'm going to sue you because yeah, did you waste
Speaker 1: my emotional time? Are we are so funny because yeah,
Speaker 1: when our lights turn on, it's bright and we are
Speaker 1: lover girls and we are like, oh my god, I'm.
Speaker 3: Obsessed with you. But when we were fed up and
Speaker 3: they turn off, we're like, oh.
Speaker 1: You discussed me. I feel liked ever give need a
Speaker 1: shame with the shade. One of my best friends in
Speaker 1: Bridesmaids is An aries, and when she's and she's also
Speaker 1: a lesbian, God bless her. So when she's in love, wow,
Speaker 1: all the romance, you gotta stop her from putting all
Speaker 1: the bathroom body works things in a basket and taking
Speaker 1: the viewer right. But when she gets it, she's like,
Speaker 1: I will never be in that place again. You understand, Yeah,
Speaker 1: you will now that again. I don't even know who's that.
Speaker 2: Yeah, I've heard of her.
Speaker 1: I'm like my friends always joke because like, again, technically
Speaker 1: I'm bisexual, but they're like, you, you hauled every relationship
Speaker 1: you were ever. She's with the men or women, a
Speaker 1: relationship with my other bridesmaid right now. But me, I
Speaker 1: mean me and Meghan, probably you hauled the quickest.
Speaker 2: But you know whatever.
Speaker 3: I was laughing because there was some TikTok and it.
Speaker 1: Was like lesbians and it was like my flex is
Speaker 1: she told me she loved me before we were even dating, and.
Speaker 3: I sent it to Meccan because I was like you.
Speaker 2: And and that's why you hear now.
Speaker 3: Yep, I was like, and I was like, that is
Speaker 3: also my biggest flex.
Speaker 2: Oh that's amazing. I love that.
Speaker 1: That's also, unfortunately one of the reasons why we're seeing
Speaker 1: so much bigotry and weirdness on the show is because
Speaker 1: of the open and very like just fine, beautiful sexuality
Speaker 1: and real relationship shipness of someone like Chraschelle part of me.
Speaker 2: And this is gonna be like y'all are gonna be
Speaker 2: like no, and maybe y'll say it. I don't know,
Speaker 2: but I.
Speaker 1: Emma the dynamic of Emma and Prachelle and Chelsea, but
Speaker 1: Emma and Prschelle specifically where and now that we know
Speaker 1: what we know, Chelsea even being gracious with this man
Speaker 1: is to me because she was gracious with the soul
Speaker 1: hobbit of a man that is younger than me, like
Speaker 1: by a lot. He's young and stupid and entitled and wealthy.
Speaker 2: And mean, am I?
Speaker 3: How desperate are you?
Speaker 1: How desperate are you? She's like, I have my own receipts.
Speaker 1: What of Krashelle calling him a fucking maga weirdo?
Speaker 3: Like what? What?
Speaker 1: What?
Speaker 3: Shut the fuck up?
Speaker 2: Would it be a significant It's just like we are
Speaker 2: met with this man.
Speaker 1: I didn't even we were introduced that he was an ex,
Speaker 1: so I was really confused to why all of this
Speaker 1: was even happening in a real time. You're saying he's
Speaker 1: an ex, So that means you know, also that one
Speaker 1: of your best friends really hates this man for reasons
Speaker 1: like being transphobic, you know, being homophobic. Referring to Chrishelle's
Speaker 1: partner who uses they them pronouns in some way that
Speaker 1: is disrespectful, proves you're not even trying.
Speaker 2: You don't give a fuck about anybody else's feelings.
Speaker 1: But your own unbiacts to care blah blah blah, because
Speaker 1: you're a rich, white young Georgia boy with no manners
Speaker 1: and a lot of entitlement and private jets and real
Speaker 1: estate air or whatever, whatever the hell that means.
Speaker 2: And Emma, who we've been.
Speaker 1: Led to believe for years is like Hella wealthy on
Speaker 1: jets and banadas, all the things, and.
Speaker 2: I believe that is all true.
Speaker 1: So then why are we sitting here with this young
Speaker 1: man who won didn't pay and she's said I don't need.
Speaker 2: A man to pay, not the So then what is
Speaker 2: he bringing to the table.
Speaker 1: That's my question, because it's like, it's not like we're
Speaker 1: with Christine Quinn, who I at least put respect at
Speaker 1: the time, right being like, I don't care if he's
Speaker 1: a good man or not, but he brings more money
Speaker 1: to the table than I do, and that means something
Speaker 1: to me. And I'm like, Okay, I can get behind that,
Speaker 1: but what does this man bring to the table. Because
Speaker 1: you don't need this money?
Speaker 2: You say you just like him.
Speaker 1: You won't even say I love you bad, you don't
Speaker 1: feel comfortable being with him. And people are saying the
Speaker 1: light is gone out of those eyes, honey, yeah on
Speaker 1: the internet. So like, what is it then that he
Speaker 1: brings to the table Because it's not looks and it's
Speaker 1: not the money, So what is it? And growing your
Speaker 1: friendships over literally And I am genuinely confused, not really,
Speaker 1: but I'm saying that for to be gracious by the
Speaker 1: women that are like Chrishelle should just be quiet and
Speaker 1: sit there and not judge her best friend.
Speaker 3: But support her. Hey hey, hey, hey hey.
Speaker 1: Supporting somebody is also telling them when they are in
Speaker 1: a situation that is potentially dangerous.
Speaker 2: Why should she not?
Speaker 3: And and and I'm not gonna support you in something
Speaker 3: that is harmful to me, dumb ass?
Speaker 1: Yeah, why should I support that? Like?
Speaker 3: Why should I support that?
Speaker 2: Guy?
Speaker 3: I said?
Speaker 2: My partner? I can now now I can't even I
Speaker 2: could never double date with.
Speaker 1: My best friend and my prior because you want to
Speaker 1: bring some bigoted and now we know racist, yeah, talking
Speaker 1: about using the inn words and words. It's really a lock, Emma,
Speaker 1: because I'm kind of trying to understand how you could
Speaker 1: even defend that. Well they were seeing when I well,
Speaker 1: I'm it's just me. Then maybe because I'm a they
Speaker 1: were saying it in a song.
Speaker 2: Thing is not an excuse to me.
Speaker 3: No, no, it's not excuse.
Speaker 2: It was an excuse for my girl.
Speaker 1: Hannah Brown, not the no famous TikTok comedian, but Hannah Brown.
Speaker 2: The Bachelorette, And I watched him, loved her season.
Speaker 1: Thought it was fun.
Speaker 3: Oh, I could not stand her.
Speaker 1: Oh, I thought the season was great because I knew
Speaker 1: from day one she wasn't there for a husband. She
Speaker 1: wanted to make out on tables and I said no
Speaker 1: and kiss some lips and okay and okay, and I
Speaker 1: think you're behind that. But I had a fun time watching.
Speaker 1: But again, I watched most of these shows anthropologically. I
Speaker 1: watched a bachelor, you know, for all the skepticism and
Speaker 1: the funkiness of it all, and that was a campy
Speaker 1: ass season. But then when she did her big one,
Speaker 1: and we couldn't get through a de baby TikTok on
Speaker 1: a boat without saying the N work rap. I've blocked
Speaker 1: friends from on Snapchat because they were rapping us song.
Speaker 1: Oh yeah, they go to UK and around a bunch
Speaker 1: of white women or woman girl in the car.
Speaker 2: Now, all of a.
Speaker 1: Sudden, I'm scared for her, exactly. I listened to enough
Speaker 1: true crime. Okay rr p, Tamala. We will find out
Speaker 1: what happened to you, siss, but like I don't the
Speaker 1: dog whistles is crazy, but we're talking about blatant racism.
Speaker 1: There is no excuse. But I'm hearing there wasn't a
Speaker 1: good one. Yeah, even know, like even so it wasn't
Speaker 1: even like yo, he was singing it in a song.
Speaker 1: You flat out find a way to excuse it. So
Speaker 1: what is it about this man that you're going to
Speaker 1: excuse all his bad behavior that you have welcomed also
Speaker 1: back into your life. Because again, we were introduced to
Speaker 1: him as an ex, so you started dating him a
Speaker 1: little bit, and now we're fast forward.
Speaker 2: We're getting deeper and deeper and deeper.
Speaker 1: Into it every single episode. Now we're having drinks with
Speaker 1: this man and we're making our friends sit down. Nothing
Speaker 1: genuinely uncomfortable for Christianity. We're not asking him to do
Speaker 1: any work. What course do we take is can you
Speaker 1: at least send him a TikTok, tell me he got
Speaker 1: a photo or something about how to be better anything.
Speaker 3: I literally am not. That's one thing I will not like,
Speaker 3: bend On.
Speaker 1: I am not going to as a black woman, as
Speaker 1: a black queer woman, going to put up with problematic
Speaker 1: people in general, but especially problematic white people in my
Speaker 1: life via the way of my friends. No, because if
Speaker 1: you cared about me as much and these causes right
Speaker 1: as much as you say you do, you wouldn't even
Speaker 1: be entertaining this man. In the amount of women that
Speaker 1: are like, she's finally happy, she let her be with you.
Speaker 1: Value just having a man, a warm body.
Speaker 3: A living being. I mean, man, why, but like why
Speaker 3: and why this illness I wish to never have.
Speaker 1: I'm watching so many birds hatch this week, so yeah,
Speaker 1: I am, And not that I didn't know they were before,
Speaker 1: but and I know A Summer Walker's album was good,
Speaker 1: but it's really pulling out the tweeted tweeze and all
Speaker 1: of your yeah them, I'm seeing really interesting bird behavior
Speaker 1: and this Emma this season and I have never in
Speaker 1: my life because you are attractive to you were okay, backtracking,
Speaker 1: but still on the topic of the racism and micro
Speaker 1: and macro aggressions in the workplace, especially with Mary who's a.
Speaker 2: Manager and can't be shit.
Speaker 1: Yeah, you've got that the only person she's ever brought
Speaker 1: up to Jason and the other one with about the
Speaker 1: direly clad dressed with Chelsea's booty cheeks exactly because that
Speaker 1: live that skinny woman still has a booty even though
Speaker 1: she is small like all of you, and therefore you're
Speaker 1: uncomfortable with it and insecure about it for whatever reason,
Speaker 1: in which case I say, I don't understand why not.
Speaker 1: You've had years before she was even here to prepare
Speaker 1: because I've seen so There's been many times because some
Speaker 1: of them walking and I'm like, there's no way they're
Speaker 1: really showing a house like this. They can no way,
Speaker 1: And I'm that I'm not that, but I am like,
Speaker 1: you're naked, right, yeah, Amanza especially, and she's one I
Speaker 1: want your opinion on in a second. Please please don't
Speaker 1: get me started on Amansa Keys, because that bitch pisses
Speaker 1: me off.
Speaker 3: To no, avail, I cannot fucking stand that woman.
Speaker 1: First of all, First and for fucking most, I do
Speaker 1: not care how many corn rows Amanza puts in her
Speaker 1: fucking head.
Speaker 3: I don't care. You ought to be embarrassed. You are
Speaker 3: a grown ass woman putting heart.
Speaker 1: Shaped braids in your head to feel some type of
Speaker 1: connectivity to your blackness.
Speaker 2: Okay, No, to.
Speaker 1: Sit there and tell us that you've been best with
Speaker 1: Mary for twenty four years and she's never done anything
Speaker 1: to get a black woman killed. Yes, that is the
Speaker 1: comment that she left on a page on a video
Speaker 1: of somebody calling out Mary for being racist. That's your
Speaker 1: bare minimum for being best friends with the white woman
Speaker 1: in That's it, I said. But at most, and I
Speaker 1: really need.
Speaker 3: It's very ambiguous.
Speaker 1: And you know what, I know what's just like pain,
Speaker 1: like skin privilege, and I am still very clearly black.
Speaker 2: Every time I get pulled over the same say know it.
Speaker 3: Yeah, I know that I exactly.
Speaker 1: Different experience than someone likes exactly as beautiful.
Speaker 3: As she is in a landa exactly.
Speaker 1: Honestly, it's almost worse because when you are of that
Speaker 1: complexion and of the dark skin color around women who
Speaker 1: pay and spend a lot of time and money to
Speaker 1: be pretty, preserve they're pretty and all of that, and
Speaker 1: you are just gorgeous and quote unquote too black.
Speaker 2: Oh they oh, they they can't do it. They can't
Speaker 2: do it.
Speaker 1: I watched Mary self destruct at that first dinner where
Speaker 1: Chelsea to me very calmly, and you know she was
Speaker 1: calm because you want her to lose it later, So
Speaker 1: she was calm when she was telling Mary while you're
Speaker 1: saying that I am sending you flowers while you're filming
Speaker 1: on camera to get camera time. I don't need camera time.
Speaker 1: They're going to get this face regardless. Oh baby, she's
Speaker 1: self destructive.
Speaker 3: She's self destructed. She started malfunctioning. She started malfunctioning. Okay,
Speaker 3: it was obvious.
Speaker 2: M Oh, that's why we're here. You really hate this
Speaker 2: black lady from being prettier than you.
Speaker 1: And then the fact that Mary tried to switch up
Speaker 1: her story on podcast after the season, saying like, I
Speaker 1: was never mad at Chelsea for sending the flowers.
Speaker 3: I was pissed off at production.
Speaker 1: That's untrue because you didn't curse out production. You didn't
Speaker 1: for aggression that white woman in your home. I remember
Speaker 1: you asking her first you did not give her the
Speaker 1: same energy that you gave Chelsea days later.
Speaker 2: So bullshit, you're insane. That's what I wanted wanted to know.
Speaker 2: Who do you what? Who do they think their audience is?
Speaker 1: Like Michelle to me is like, in fact, most of
Speaker 1: the people I know that do watch at least this
Speaker 1: selling Sun said, but the selling Suns at all are
Speaker 1: either women of color and also queer, yeah, and like
Speaker 1: all of them I don't and and or men of both. Yeah.
Speaker 2: So then then who do you think your audience is?
Speaker 1: That they're not gonna care that your boyfriend does this,
Speaker 1: or that you are picking on the black girl and
Speaker 1: throwing her flowers in the trash via Brie, because Brie
Speaker 1: was just excited that she could do the same microaggressions
Speaker 1: and not get caught out for because it's on the
Speaker 1: defense of Mary is.
Speaker 3: Such a loser.
Speaker 2: She is a.
Speaker 3: She is it's painful to me to see how bad
Speaker 3: of a loser she is.
Speaker 1: It is because also, you are, regardless of how I
Speaker 1: feel about you, you are raising a half black son
Speaker 1: and who will presume get more, presumably that more than
Speaker 1: you ever could in proximity to over time at some point,
Speaker 1: and that does worry me because then I'm because I'm
Speaker 1: watching the way everyone's reacting at this table, this this
Speaker 1: table at the end of the season of Mary, you know,
Speaker 1: Mary picking the fight with Chelsea. Chelsea not even know
Speaker 1: when there is a fight. She's like, I didn't know
Speaker 1: it got there. Fucking one hundred and sixty dollars flowers.
Speaker 2: Whatever the hell, You're.
Speaker 1: Just like, it's a it's a it's a it's a
Speaker 1: it's a coin that I would be a nice gesture.
Speaker 1: I don't text you because we don't talk. Right. In fact,
Speaker 1: I probably Here's what I really think happened. I think
Speaker 1: she sent it through production on something because she does
Speaker 1: not have her, she does not know her, but she
Speaker 1: wanted to do something kind. So she's like for you
Speaker 1: to say that I did it for camera time when
Speaker 1: I wasn't even on camera. I didn't ask to deliver
Speaker 1: the flowers. I mean put on we clad outfits and
Speaker 1: to give you the flowers.
Speaker 3: And mind you when you want to get into the
Speaker 3: nitty gritty, like the.
Speaker 1: Person who is not harming Mary, who is harmful to
Speaker 1: Mary is her own husband sleeping in the bed next
Speaker 1: to her, so with his rude ass.
Speaker 3: Okay, talking down in his throat to her.
Speaker 2: Also, the streets would like y'all to know.
Speaker 1: That the theory that y'all think, that that y'all know
Speaker 1: I have about the Reek's situation, they would like y'all
Speaker 1: to apply that conspiracy to mary situation.
Speaker 3: I have the frame one.
Speaker 2: It's on it.
Speaker 1: But because I've been not because I don't think I could,
Speaker 1: but because I've rested all of that energy into my
Speaker 1: thoughts about to read, I have just too much faith
Speaker 1: in the fact that she was set up and and
Speaker 1: and y'all would like to copy paste that on the threads.
Speaker 1: And I just simply look and not. I interested in
Speaker 1: your in your thought and your theories. And I see
Speaker 1: y'all and I understand I here, oh, and that we're
Speaker 1: throwing away this black lady's flowers because no, first of all,
Speaker 1: nobody else sent flowers.
Speaker 2: You would rather get a tag. I just don't understand.
Speaker 1: No, she wouldn't know, she wouldn't talking about you know,
Speaker 1: she wouldn't mad at this lady.
Speaker 3: She would not.
Speaker 1: It's just that good that being a I've been on
Speaker 1: the other end of this, and it is in the
Speaker 1: workplace and not too not too long ago, and it
Speaker 1: literally took me so long to recover from the nervous
Speaker 1: system shock for how everything you do is a time
Speaker 1: and you are like, I can't be believe that this
Speaker 1: is really something I'm defending.
Speaker 2: And you're like, even though you know you've been.
Speaker 1: Warned, your mama told you, oh yeah, oh yeah, everybody,
Speaker 1: You're like, you can't just be because I'm.
Speaker 2: You think it can't be.
Speaker 1: No, no, no, no, no no no no no no.
Speaker 3: And I would.
Speaker 1: And I watched Chelsea fidget in her seat multiple times
Speaker 1: and re calm herself, redoubted herself so that she is
Speaker 1: not the angry black whatever the hell y'all are gonna
Speaker 1: get ready to do, because I saw it immediately.
Speaker 2: She is so trained at this, she knows this game
Speaker 2: so well. Of insecure white woman for.
Speaker 1: No reason like it. Also, Mary, you have no reason
Speaker 1: to be insecure, but you married that twenty three year
Speaker 1: old and we ask what I am so, but here
Speaker 1: we are, And because of your insecurities, you have literally
Speaker 1: allowed them to project out of you so much so
Speaker 1: that the whole world is now thinking that you are
Speaker 1: a racist because you picked this fight with this black woman.
Speaker 2: You goaded and gated and you baited her.
Speaker 1: Into this argument where she had been sending you flowers
Speaker 1: because you happen to be filmed the same day, when
Speaker 1: news flash, bitch, you're filming a reality show. There's a
Speaker 1: good chance you're filming on any given day you're in
Speaker 1: filming season, and if there's a call sheet, she probably
Speaker 1: knows that.
Speaker 2: Or but I don't think she's checking up.
Speaker 1: No texting Penelope, Hey girl, are you at marrying Them's
Speaker 1: house today?
Speaker 2: You make sure my flowers get to the door. I
Speaker 2: just don't think that would have been in case you
Speaker 2: would have seen the singing telegram. She didn't do that,
Speaker 2: I really think exactly.
Speaker 1: And the fact that you decided to let that be
Speaker 1: the way that the rest of the season got shaped
Speaker 1: and portrayed is really crazy to me, because we had
Speaker 1: some beautiful homes and some really cool guests to seem
Speaker 1: to look through and talk about some really interesting things,
Speaker 1: some great work charity and things like that. But we
Speaker 1: have to now watch that and that felt almost like
Speaker 1: black Shabat.
Speaker 2: To me, or where oh my god, don't just as
Speaker 2: dislike arming, where I was like, I need a minute.
Speaker 2: I had to take a break from the season for days.
Speaker 1: Same thing was selling Sunset before y'all got into the reunion,
Speaker 1: did you watch.
Speaker 2: It'll Take a Choice? And I didn't either.
Speaker 1: I couldn't see the defense, and I heard many of
Speaker 1: y'all be like, Oh, it's up for everybody in Chrischelle
Speaker 1: news flash. After the way this season looked after the reunion,
Speaker 1: I think the way things were cut, I think there
Speaker 1: was a large part of that scene between Mary and
Speaker 1: Chelsea also that got cut out that Chrischelle is really
Speaker 1: upset about that, you know, where things were explained to
Speaker 1: her and you still decide to double down. And then
Speaker 1: after the narrative of the final episode being painted that
Speaker 1: Mary was so afraid of the way of Chelsea coming
Speaker 1: possibly to this final dinner or whatever, seeing her name
Speaker 1: on a plate because she's afraid of her as if
Speaker 1: Chelsea launched stay cross the table.
Speaker 2: Now, let me tell you something.
Speaker 1: What I did not see from Chelsea is anything that
Speaker 1: could even go for a down at Housewives.
Speaker 2: She would never make it past the casting room.
Speaker 3: It was too no, no, oh, god, don't get me
Speaker 3: starting to hell.
Speaker 2: No to have that reaction.
Speaker 1: I remember just seeing one threads you included people just
Speaker 1: being like nah, Mary's reaction to that name card was crazy,
Speaker 1: like Mary sane, this is insane, like a name, God, girl,
Speaker 1: you got a calm that like girl called a lady?
Speaker 2: Like what's going on?
Speaker 3: What what she never gave She never gave stable, never
Speaker 3: gave stable and is not.
Speaker 2: If you were like, oh, well she had her trauma, but.
Speaker 1: Who's that's not that's not Chelsea.
Speaker 2: It's given you know what it is?
Speaker 1: They like, oh, we think we have a sketch of
Speaker 1: the men and you know they're probably both black in
Speaker 1: the in the sketch, and that's enough that person to
Speaker 1: Mary know and she had here with this British lady.
Speaker 2: That part we're not even.
Speaker 1: That's the thing that it's like that what did that
Speaker 1: family guy mean with the just like it's just colors
Speaker 1: because the car.
Speaker 2: She's also Chelsea's a lover.
Speaker 1: But she's a diaspor what I call a diasporic black, Okay,
Speaker 1: but she's black by shade in society, not necessarily by
Speaker 1: culture orality, is British and has a totally different experience
Speaker 1: than I understand and I know and her experience as
Speaker 1: a black American citizen that of whatever it is, but
Speaker 1: it is also layered with her being a British woman,
Speaker 1: and that is different and my experience is very different
Speaker 1: than hers.
Speaker 2: So with that being said, I.
Speaker 1: The looping of it all together, just like these young people,
Speaker 1: who are these people who broke into my.
Speaker 2: Home and I now need to attack? It's given me
Speaker 2: a meson, that's what.
Speaker 1: Yeah, for those who don't know, you know, I love
Speaker 1: this story.
Speaker 2: It's my fave facetious.
Speaker 1: His friend like cried and told him that he that
Speaker 1: she got attacked by a black man and she like
Speaker 1: was really scared and all these things really sad.
Speaker 2: It was a horrible story.
Speaker 1: I'm sure he was very sad as a friend for
Speaker 1: whatever you know he believes happened to his friend. He
Speaker 1: then told, he proudly boasts what's y'all. I don't understand,
Speaker 1: but he probably on a syndicated platform that made it
Speaker 1: to my ears somehow that he then went out enraged
Speaker 1: that night or whatever and wanted to allegedly let go
Speaker 1: and just f up some black guys, some black because
Speaker 1: he was so mad. Not signed him, not go all
Speaker 1: taken on as and look at who did it find?
Speaker 1: Who did it?
Speaker 2: Go?
Speaker 1: Vigilante justice? No, just fuck up some black people. Yep,
Speaker 1: I said did this week just to admit to like
Speaker 1: the desire, the conspiracy to commit lynchings, and we're trying
Speaker 1: to move on just all not talk about it. And
Speaker 1: that's literally what's happening. Mary. I don't understand why you
Speaker 1: suddenly turned on Chelsea, and it's bad, but you went
Speaker 1: from criticizing her for what she's wearing to accusing her
Speaker 1: of being a cloud chaser off of your burglary by
Speaker 1: sending you flowers that you only we only knew who
Speaker 1: and what it was and what it was about because
Speaker 1: of your.
Speaker 3: Reaction, Yeah, because you read it out loud.
Speaker 2: No, you didn't even read it out loud.
Speaker 1: Mary said, oh my yeah, yeah, it threw it down.
Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm not doing this.
Speaker 1: I'm not doing this.
Speaker 2: Oh my fuck, that's oh my god. I'm not doing this.
Speaker 2: I'm not I'm not filming.
Speaker 1: All you had to do, if you really was bout
Speaker 1: about it, be like, oh, Chelsea sent me flowers and
Speaker 1: put it down. That was nice of her who gave
Speaker 1: it came a time you were her. You made the
Speaker 1: final two episodes about Chelsea.
Speaker 3: Mm hmm.
Speaker 1: In Emma, now your whole serieson and storyline is about
Speaker 1: you dating a bigot willingly back into your life and
Speaker 1: literally choosing a broover host.
Speaker 3: Which is weird, weird as fuck.
Speaker 1: You were in a cute little trio, the most liked
Speaker 1: one on TV famous, you have it all, and you
Speaker 1: are choosing. We watched her actively choose to go from
Speaker 1: one poor decision to the next. And now this is
Speaker 1: the story of the remainder of the cast and just
Speaker 1: calling them the selling Sunset Maga pipeline, how they're all
Speaker 1: choosing to double down on it in media as well,
Speaker 1: especially Emma. I'm like, Emma, you all you have to
Speaker 1: say is like I care for Krishelle a lot, and
Speaker 1: obviously there's some things that Chrishelle and Chelsea, and obviously
Speaker 1: there are things.
Speaker 3: That I miss and blind spots that I have.
Speaker 1: So I'm definitely taking that into consideration, especially considering my
Speaker 1: friends are upset with me.
Speaker 2: Even if you.
Speaker 3: Don't take it into consideration, that's all you have to say.
Speaker 1: Yeah, we really could have just been like you know
Speaker 1: they are, even I would have even taken They're entitled
Speaker 1: to how they feel and their opinions, you know, and
Speaker 1: I respect where their experiences.
Speaker 2: You know, they're coming from different experiences than mine. So yeah,
Speaker 2: it is what it is.
Speaker 3: So you know it sucks.
Speaker 2: I won't even take it sucks, but it is.
Speaker 1: That's how they feel and their experiences, and they're entitled
Speaker 1: to that.
Speaker 2: And to not want to be around him. But you
Speaker 2: knew that would make it look like a bird, but
Speaker 2: so does this.
Speaker 1: So yeah, I don't know, Sis, it's giving not a
Speaker 1: good idea. No, this was a bad one and something
Speaker 1: I said, I really hate to see you. I really
Speaker 1: hate to see you tumble like this one.
Speaker 3: They went outside, they went out.
Speaker 1: Really sad, and those season not looking no better. People
Speaker 1: are really concerned about it.
Speaker 2: Are you looking? Do you watch Owning Manhattan? No, okay,
Speaker 2: I do. I will let y'all know how that one goes.
Speaker 1: Y'all know, I'm only watching for that black lady from Brooklyn,
Speaker 1: so shout out to her unless she's not in it.
Speaker 1: But I'm hearing the selling sunset. Overall, the production is
Speaker 1: looking a little bit catchy, and that might be Jason's doing.
Speaker 1: So I don't know. It might be the end of
Speaker 1: an era for us, y'all, but I'm going to continue
Speaker 1: to do, you know, do the other things. We will
Speaker 1: hop one over to Hulu and talk you know, slummel
Speaker 1: and whatnot over there soon, and I know you're already
Speaker 1: watching Where can people so find you? Look you up,
Speaker 1: listen to you talk about all of these things and more.
