We chatted about the inception from MomTok to this show, terrible partners, wild rules and work arounds and LETS TALK ABOUT THE HUSBANDS! So many jaw dropping moments to get to it if you need any convincing…. Let this be your guide. Speaker 1: Hello, Hello, Hello, Hello, beautiful and wonderful mixologists out there.
Speaker 1: It is your girl Money and you're in the mix
Speaker 1: with Money and Cara Berry from everyone's business but mine,
Speaker 1: which is still, I think, to this day even above
Speaker 1: my own, the most iconic podcast name ever.
Speaker 2: It's just because that's.
Speaker 1: Literally the vibe that is on her show. But that's
Speaker 1: like what I live by. Literally anybody else's business but
Speaker 1: my one. Because we don't got a lot of drama
Speaker 1: going on in my house.
Speaker 2: We're chilling and.
Speaker 1: I like it just like that. But everybody else, let's
Speaker 1: talk about it. And for our subject today, I could
Speaker 1: not have anybody else other than Kara. Thank you so
Speaker 1: much for coming back on. It's been a minute. I'm
Speaker 1: so glad you're here.
Speaker 3: It's been like two minutes. I'm so happy to be back. Yeah,
Speaker 3: we have a lot to talk about.
Speaker 2: Girl.
Speaker 3: I'm like that scene from Me and Girls, Like I
Speaker 3: can't stop talking about it.
Speaker 1: Yeah, I like the more I was talking about it,
Speaker 1: the more I was like hoping someone will bring it up,
Speaker 1: Like I don't know else to text about the secret
Speaker 1: lives of Mormon wives. If you didn't know, that's what
Speaker 1: we're talking about. That is what we are freaking talking
Speaker 1: about today.
Speaker 2: I am out of people to tell.
Speaker 1: I know my mom won't watch, and I'm still like
Speaker 1: debating should I just be like, just you won't get it,
Speaker 1: you won't understand anything, but you just see if you
Speaker 1: have the same draw dropping moments that I do. Like
Speaker 1: when they just slide the fact that they do ketamine
Speaker 1: in there and then start spelling other people's secrets. I'm
Speaker 1: just like, like, Utah is a wild fucking place and.
Speaker 3: We need to start really mentioning it all about that,
Speaker 3: because yeah, be out here, wow on the fuck out
Speaker 3: and they're just like living and it's like almost like
Speaker 3: do we live in the same country, because.
Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm like this is not it's not a real place.
Speaker 2: It can't be a real place. It Like it's so interesting.
Speaker 1: It's like the contrast of the white snow white people
Speaker 1: status quo. Like all the girls look the same, that's
Speaker 1: like the whole trope.
Speaker 2: Like all these.
Speaker 1: Young mommy blogger type they want to like there's like
Speaker 1: a carbon copy photo that they take to beauty lab
Speaker 1: and laser and ask for that, like they want that
Speaker 1: book of each other. But like that contrasted with like
Speaker 1: all the weird nuances because of rules and their workarounds
Speaker 1: of the rules. Uh so there's like soda shops like
Speaker 1: so like not old school but like modern coffee house
Speaker 1: vibes like go in and get a doctor Pepper mix up,
Speaker 1: Like what is happening?
Speaker 2: Like it's not a real place.
Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean like speaking like the need to be
Speaker 3: a part, Like I really thought that that was mostly
Speaker 3: like a Heather Gay insecurity thing, but like, come to
Speaker 3: find out, not only do they want it, they like
Speaker 3: I think it's ridiculous that you wouldn't want to look
Speaker 3: exactly like your homegirl next to you and the homegirl
Speaker 3: next to her. That really was eye opening for me.
Speaker 1: Yeah, because in their mind it's like, well, we know
Speaker 1: the prototype works. We know that it's very stepfort wives,
Speaker 1: and we know this is what sells. This is where
Speaker 1: we are, Like, this is what makes even being traditional
Speaker 1: wives like you know, tradwives, Mormon wives, whatever, this is
Speaker 1: what makes like it okay to do that because we
Speaker 1: look modern and we look cute, and we have highlights
Speaker 1: and we're zesty and we still listen to hip hop
Speaker 1: and we know how to work and that's okay. And
Speaker 1: so they have to just redo the same formula over
Speaker 1: and over and over because they're like, we know it works,
Speaker 1: and to be honest, it does. They are all they
Speaker 1: all look the same, They all do the exact same
Speaker 1: content literally together. It looks like Alabama Rush talk when
Speaker 1: they all look alike, and they all still are making
Speaker 1: like exorbitant amounts of money off of doing what they're
Speaker 1: doing even though it all looks the same.
Speaker 2: So apparently in bloom or whoever really.
Speaker 1: Lights like beach waves highlights and duck lips with no parts. Yeah,
Speaker 1: two Tululemon sports bra and comfy you know leggings like combo.
Speaker 3: And I really I also want to unpack the pnant
Speaker 3: belly exposure, like what's gone? Like I don't care, Like
Speaker 3: I'm not, I don't.
Speaker 1: Care, but I didn't know it was like the thing
Speaker 1: you're bringing, Like it's like you're a little it's like
Speaker 1: either you have a little lemon like fanny pack or
Speaker 1: a belly.
Speaker 3: Yeah, and it almost feels like a flex to have,
Speaker 3: like a perfect no stretch mark belly, Like I I
Speaker 3: gotta show that off.
Speaker 1: Yeah, Like it's not even weird flex but okay, like
Speaker 1: it's a nice flex.
Speaker 2: Like there are a lot of one people are like,
Speaker 2: god damn it.
Speaker 1: Like if I could have wore crop tops and a
Speaker 1: cute Lulu and all my Lulu slats, I would have
Speaker 1: had a nice time, Like my athletic sports brawl was
Speaker 1: not fitting over that, Like and I understand that makes
Speaker 1: so much sense, But so how did we get here?
Speaker 1: I famously like how did you find mom Talk? And
Speaker 1: the how we how we got to this show? Like
Speaker 1: did you already know about it? Did you find out
Speaker 1: about it? I mean you cover all the best pop
Speaker 1: culture and all the TV shows, but like where did
Speaker 1: your journey start specifically with mom Talk to leading to
Speaker 1: this show?
Speaker 3: Definitely with the Swinger scandal, Like I'm always on TikTok,
Speaker 3: but I'm not on the we're dancing the QTc kind
Speaker 3: of stuff, like their brand of TikTok is not in
Speaker 3: that neck of the.
Speaker 2: Woods my algorithm at all.
Speaker 3: But you were talking about being a little hoe. Oh
Speaker 3: that will be on my for you page, so that like, okay,
Speaker 3: let's talk about this woman. I really wasn't sure like
Speaker 3: racially what was going on with Taylor. So I'm like, oh,
Speaker 3: here's this like ethnically ambiguous woman who is just admitting
Speaker 3: that you know, the girls that you see me doing
Speaker 3: a to count with are also the ones who were,
Speaker 3: you know, hooking up with my husband and vice versa.
Speaker 3: And also I took things a little bit too far.
Speaker 3: We're playing, you know, had sausage and that was against
Speaker 3: the rules and I'm like, okay, well yeah, I know.
Speaker 1: But seriously, I think for me it was kind of
Speaker 1: the same you know, famously friends to the show where
Speaker 1: a mom'sa Bravo. Vanessa and Abby we're doing like a
Speaker 1: deep dive because they're on mom talk, which would make sense.
Speaker 1: They're both moms, they're cool moms, and like that content
Speaker 1: like fell into their world right, and it was and
Speaker 1: remarkably in kind of like a weird, like comical way,
Speaker 1: like in a laughing at sometimes because it's sometimes ridiculous
Speaker 1: that these women just dance around and put questions and
Speaker 1: answers like that no one really asked or wanted to know,
Speaker 1: right captions while they're doing a dance, like that's really
Speaker 1: all it is. There's nothing, you know, there's no new
Speaker 1: content that's actually happening. They're not making skits and songs
Speaker 1: and anything like that. So they were like kind of
Speaker 1: in like a mocking way of like, look, at these vives,
Speaker 1: these moms doing these things, but they're having a nice
Speaker 1: time and then boom scandal. And my thing is if
Speaker 1: you're telling somebody's secrets or if you say story time
Speaker 1: on my fo you page, that's it's happening. Like both
Speaker 1: both this came to my for you page and Resa
Speaker 1: Tisa who tot I marry, like, I want you to
Speaker 1: spell secrets, tell me a scandal. I'm always down for
Speaker 1: a story time. And they started covering the whole swinging
Speaker 1: community of these Mormon wives soft swinging as Taylor called it,
Speaker 1: and I think that piqued everyone's interest, like what the
Speaker 1: hell is soft swinging.
Speaker 3: Like with a couple named Tate and Taylor like oh wow,
Speaker 3: you know?
Speaker 1: And you know? And also I think it was refreshing,
Speaker 1: which I never understood why Taylor got you know, she
Speaker 1: was the villain because she exposed everyone, and I guess
Speaker 1: that was you know. The big fallout is that everyone
Speaker 1: nobody wanted to be associated with the soft swinging because
Speaker 1: obviously it's not of the rules, right, So they all
Speaker 1: distanced themselves from Taylor distiness and social knows rumors and
Speaker 1: Taylor was like, girl, I have all the evidence don't
Speaker 1: ever play me, play with yourself like I will expose all.
Speaker 2: Of you right now. And it was.
Speaker 1: It caused a whole fallout and the cameras didn't even
Speaker 1: come into play until quite some time after, which is
Speaker 1: why there was like as Taylor and all this was happening,
Speaker 1: they quickly got a brand deal, like a deal to
Speaker 1: do the show, and I imagine that's why so many
Speaker 1: people welcomed her back into the fold.
Speaker 3: But we heard that they signed on to six seasons.
Speaker 2: Yes, yes, heard.
Speaker 1: I'm like, thank you Mormon gods. We I immediately after
Speaker 1: season about fifth episode, I said, we need a season two.
Speaker 1: I already know I'm not gonna wrap up well.
Speaker 3: During cameras up by the end of the month.
Speaker 2: I need them up right now.
Speaker 3: I deally the end of the week, right, I deal
Speaker 3: the end of the week.
Speaker 2: I wanted.
Speaker 1: I really wanted to get everyone's, like people's I want
Speaker 1: their reactions to the show.
Speaker 3: One thing I will say about Whitney, and we have
Speaker 3: a lot to talk about her, but one thing I
Speaker 3: will say, and it's probably going to be the last
Speaker 3: nice thing I say about her, is that she did
Speaker 3: say it would be pretty like a really great idea
Speaker 3: for them to get cameras up right now while we're
Speaker 3: feeling all the emotions of the reactions of people and like,
Speaker 3: you know, and like, I'm with you, girl, You're absolutely right.
Speaker 1: Yeah, I think maybe producers wanted to settle and they
Speaker 1: want to see how it goes to all of their heads,
Speaker 1: and so yeah, they're waiting out, you know, as it
Speaker 1: settles down, probably like after the holidays, then they'll probably
Speaker 1: pick cameras back up and we'll actually see a lot
Speaker 1: of character development for a lot of these women who
Speaker 1: realize like who the villains are, who the fans are.
Speaker 1: Like I'm curious to see what a second season for
Speaker 1: like someone like Demi looks like, because she came off
Speaker 1: really well this season. And you know, you either live,
Speaker 1: you know long what is it long enough to be
Speaker 1: a hero or.
Speaker 2: Die a hero living to be a villain.
Speaker 3: I was thinking that exact same thing. Every time I
Speaker 3: see somebody that I like on a reality show, low key,
Speaker 3: I want to DM them and be like, don't do anything,
Speaker 3: don't change, don't let like I'm gonna tell you I
Speaker 3: love you, but you gotta let that shit go. Put
Speaker 3: it in the trash can. Because once you get a
Speaker 3: big head about this. It's over and it's.
Speaker 2: Rue, it's ruined.
Speaker 1: Like I am even curious to see how Taylor, you know,
Speaker 1: comes off because on TikTok and Everything, Taylor was the
Speaker 1: villain because she was outing everybody's you know, business, which
Speaker 1: in real life, like real life money understands that if
Speaker 1: you spill my internet my business on the internet, and
Speaker 1: you know we have a large Internet following, that's nasty,
Speaker 1: Like I don't like that, don't do that to me.
Speaker 1: But also he's women to calm down. No one gives
Speaker 1: a fuck of your soft swinging or not, like we
Speaker 1: don't care. And Taylor, out of herself has had to
Speaker 1: be an affair. She was like, we tried to switch
Speaker 1: partners like more intimately and they were like and didn't
Speaker 1: love it, and they said they thought that was the
Speaker 1: end of it. It wasn't.
Speaker 2: No, we kept.
Speaker 1: Going And so I understand that part. But on the
Speaker 1: show she actually came across really really well. And I
Speaker 1: wonder how that will even play out in another season
Speaker 1: of Like she wasn't the villain the first season, but
Speaker 1: will she be now that Whitney is like, I don't
Speaker 1: I don't imagine a good much of anything for Whitney
Speaker 1: after this season alone, because that woman had a tough time.
Speaker 2: She had a very tough time.
Speaker 3: Gosh, but I truly think that this is just like
Speaker 3: how Whitney is because yeah, like you're right, Like, I
Speaker 3: think we all went into this thinking that Taylor was
Speaker 3: going to be the villain from yeah to episode eight
Speaker 3: and she was just gonna be a disaster, and really
Speaker 3: she was just in her own worst enemy, you know.
Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean really she was just like an excellent
Speaker 1: foil for Dakota.
Speaker 2: Like that's all it was.
Speaker 3: Right, Like, Taylor really just hurt herself. She wasn't terribly
Speaker 3: malicious towards everybody else. Whitney run around be a little
Speaker 3: demon in a hair flip.
Speaker 2: Yeah, first of all, the hair.
Speaker 1: Okay, let me just say, for anyone who's on the
Speaker 1: fence about this show, Whitney won't make sense, it will
Speaker 1: sound like an insufferable reason to not watch. I'm here
Speaker 1: to remind you there is no reason to not watch.
Speaker 1: She is absolutely a reason to watch. Because of how
Speaker 1: insufferable she is going to sound. I just also want
Speaker 1: to remind people that Whitney. Yep, first of all, for
Speaker 1: all the husbands, you have to suspend your suspicions of
Speaker 1: their sexuality, and remind yourselves. One, we can't clock anybody's true,
Speaker 1: but if we could, we have to remember there is
Speaker 1: a different set of rules that the people are playing.
Speaker 2: With over there in Utah, Okay.
Speaker 1: So they're in a different kind of sexual repression where
Speaker 1: maybe if we notice something, they may may they may
Speaker 1: not have, or they have and may not want us to.
Speaker 3: So yeah, it feels like case scenario is that you
Speaker 3: are able to acknowledge, but you're still going to be
Speaker 3: in a heterosexual relationship.
Speaker 1: Like yes, but it's there are definitely some instances where
Speaker 1: I'm like, I think that every time you're pregnant, you
Speaker 1: think it's going to make us believe.
Speaker 2: Your spouse is a heterosexual person.
Speaker 1: Correct, And I worry that that is the most you
Speaker 1: can do and still not enough. And I worry allso
Speaker 1: so that your body doing all of that to make
Speaker 1: that kind of proof.
Speaker 2: Wow, like wow, because I'm.
Speaker 1: Pregnant, he obviously had to have sex with me, And yeah,
Speaker 1: it's still giving girl what you don't want it to.
Speaker 1: I just need some of these women to know you
Speaker 1: can spot.
Speaker 4: The diffy like hell, and now he said it, and
Speaker 4: we said it, and the wild thing is like, I
Speaker 4: was really sitting there thinking about it, and I think
Speaker 4: Whitney might be the only wife that we see on
Speaker 4: the show that uh is not married as a result
Speaker 4: of a pregnancy that happened when they were a teenager.
Speaker 2: Oh of course not.
Speaker 3: I think she's really the only one in the cast
Speaker 3: who did not have a baby.
Speaker 1: No accidents happening there, I promise anytime that they have
Speaker 1: done the act of procreation practice or probably just pro creation,
Speaker 1: they have everyone had full understanding of what they were
Speaker 1: doing and it was not an accident and it was
Speaker 1: on purpose.
Speaker 3: Yeah. I mean even Whitney talking about their first night,
Speaker 3: their wedding night, and she positions it as though like, well,
Speaker 3: this is a result of my mom not teaching me
Speaker 3: about sex, which is true, like obviously we know that
Speaker 3: the sex education is animal. But also she was like
Speaker 3: describing it as like a horror movie and then a comedy,
Speaker 3: And then you look at her husband and you're like, yeah.
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I would like more on Whitney.
Speaker 2: I need more background to information.
Speaker 3: Yeah, Like every feeling of no, no, no that you're
Speaker 3: having when we talk about Whitney is going to be
Speaker 3: the reason why you should watch it.
Speaker 1: Exactly because I have watched it, and even in review
Speaker 1: and reflection myself right now I'm like, actually, I do
Speaker 1: need a second season of her and possibly a spinoff.
Speaker 1: And I'm not joking. It's a there's a there's a
Speaker 1: quirkiness there. I'll kim zosiac, but like in a different
Speaker 1: way of like what's going on? I just I think
Speaker 1: her husband had like more different looks and hair situations
Speaker 1: than Whitney did.
Speaker 3: A new unit every episode, sometimes twice an episode, So
Speaker 3: what is this episode?
Speaker 1: There were different pieces getting laid them, edges were edging,
Speaker 1: and the leave out was leaving out, and it was like, okay,
Speaker 1: very nice, he said, the cameras are here. I got
Speaker 1: to turn it on. I'm like, get shows today, thaking
Speaker 1: of getting shows. Whitney is the greatest friend pick me
Speaker 1: I've ever seen, correct.
Speaker 3: My word, and the way she won't acknowledge it, she will.
Speaker 1: Not Like I I made a meme of like my
Speaker 1: thoughts that have if you haven't watched, have very little context,
Speaker 1: but like if you have, they are probably fantastically spot
Speaker 1: on for how you experienced it too, I hope. But
Speaker 1: the Whitney one of like an empty room every time
Speaker 1: she announces that she's leaving the group, because by my calculation,
Speaker 1: it's like four times in one season that she left
Speaker 1: the mom Talk group and was disappointed. Then no one
Speaker 1: either threw a funeral like a sad grievance party or
Speaker 1: called to check on her from her own decision.
Speaker 3: Her name might start with W, but all she was
Speaker 3: doing was taken l's like.
Speaker 1: El els Kara, and then she took us on a
Speaker 1: goat farm, like what are you doing?
Speaker 2: The producers were pissed.
Speaker 1: You know they're not Bravo producers because they actually had
Speaker 1: to go, because Bravo producers will quickly be like, man,
Speaker 1: we are not going to split up the crew, the van,
Speaker 1: the snacks and all of that to go because you
Speaker 1: don't want to with the group.
Speaker 3: I was truly cackling when she was truly like like
Speaker 3: Will Smith in the living room, like wow, they want
Speaker 3: me man like hands in her pockets and all of
Speaker 3: a sudden we turned into Nur Smith. We're making gram
Speaker 3: crackers and animal crackers straight out the oven. We're acting
Speaker 3: like we want to have chickens. And she's like, you're
Speaker 3: scrambling real bad, because so bad. But nobody likes you, and.
Speaker 1: They're what they're not going to do, girl, is follow
Speaker 1: your journey into being a full on trad wife.
Speaker 2: They're not.
Speaker 3: If they were gonna do that, they'd get Nara Smith.
Speaker 1: Yeah, they would have gotten some actual, you know, nice
Speaker 1: problematic trad wives that are or whatever her name is. Yeah,
Speaker 1: the girl he's on TikTok who like to say the
Speaker 1: N word, chicken Sally.
Speaker 2: I've always been confused when she did that. I was like,
Speaker 2: what is this? How is this relevant to the salad
Speaker 2: you're making?
Speaker 3: I don't want to know why am I in it?
Speaker 1: Now?
Speaker 2: I just got here? Oh my god, I just wanted
Speaker 2: to click.
Speaker 1: I let your hair tie, and I wanted to know
Speaker 1: where you got it and what you were making.
Speaker 2: And I'm being assaulted.
Speaker 1: That's too Like, so we don't want to follow that journey, Whitney.
Speaker 1: But let me tell you the whole situation of like
Speaker 1: I'm going to She kept escalating it every time, thinking
Speaker 1: that it would get a different reaction. And what is
Speaker 1: the definition of insanity? I want to remind people, Okay,
Speaker 1: because first she's like, I'm leaving the group chat and
Speaker 1: that she was really wanted someone and Kara helped me understand,
Speaker 1: was it too.
Speaker 2: She wanted someone to.
Speaker 1: Check on her that she was okay after she left
Speaker 1: the group chat.
Speaker 3: Well, she left, not because she wanted any sort of attention. However, right,
Speaker 3: if the shoe was on the other foot, she would
Speaker 3: immediately have called that person. But that's not what she
Speaker 3: wanted or expected. She didn't want the attention, but she
Speaker 3: would have given other people attention if it had not
Speaker 3: been her. That's that's all.
Speaker 1: She's right, right, So she would have just been nosy,
Speaker 1: and she was disappointed no one did the same.
Speaker 3: He would have been a good friend. Okay, if you
Speaker 3: guys don't want to do that, that's totally fun.
Speaker 2: That would have been a good friend.
Speaker 1: Who would have spilled your secrets after doing ketamine with
Speaker 1: another friend. She ain't spelled her own secrets. She spelled
Speaker 1: other people's secrets. That's terrible, but iconic, like that's true
Speaker 1: housewives behavior. Not she got loose and sit and I
Speaker 1: got some I got some tea for you. But yeah, no,
Speaker 1: just because she said that that didn't happen. That's exactly
Speaker 1: what happened, and it also helped me. Then she unfollowed
Speaker 1: everyone and actually wanted people to call her and basically
Speaker 1: asked why they why she was unfollowing them.
Speaker 3: Yeah, the people that she was very repeatedly saying were
Speaker 3: not her friends. They're not her friends that they're only
Speaker 3: doing mom talk for the greater good. They are not
Speaker 3: my friends. But why aren't they calling me? I don't
Speaker 3: they want me? Man?
Speaker 1: Calling you for what you said you don't want to
Speaker 1: be a Did you not say that?
Speaker 3: Like I kept I don't it and I and I don't.
Speaker 3: But I just think it's weird that you didn't call me, Okay,
Speaker 3: like I don't want attention, but why didn't you?
Speaker 1: Also, the girls, it's actually sad because the girls are
Speaker 1: in the confessionals pretty much being like it actually sucks
Speaker 1: the Whitney isn't here, and they're thinking they're respecting your
Speaker 1: boundaries because you keep putting them up, but they're performative
Speaker 1: and they're not real.
Speaker 3: So but they're also clocking her for that, which I loved,
Speaker 3: like that, loved that all of her were like, we
Speaker 3: see that she's literally just like a child, like taking
Speaker 3: her toys and leaving and then standing on the other
Speaker 3: side of the the lawn and waited.
Speaker 2: Like hello, stop her. Why has no one come in?
Speaker 2: To God to get me, asked me to stay.
Speaker 3: I guess I'm leaving now right now, like okay.
Speaker 2: Bye, there's twenty three of us.
Speaker 3: Okay, well right.
Speaker 1: Like there's I love it every single time a different
Speaker 1: woman is on the screen, because there's so many of
Speaker 1: them and they all look alike, they have to put
Speaker 1: their agent name just to remind you all that, yes,
Speaker 1: the twenty two year old does have more sense than
Speaker 1: this twenty eight year old.
Speaker 3: For whatever reason, Jenn her full government name or her
Speaker 3: husband's government name, and you know, God bless her for that.
Speaker 2: This is not a good year for the Aflac family.
Speaker 3: Not a good year to be a Jen Affleck, specifically.
Speaker 1: Specifically, the wrong Jen Affleck.
Speaker 2: God divorced.
Speaker 3: The wrong one, went to the courthouse the wrong one.
Speaker 1: If you do not know what we are talking about,
Speaker 1: apparently there's like a distant cousin of Ben Affleck who
Speaker 1: lives in Utah and is there with his prisoner, I
Speaker 1: mean wife.
Speaker 3: I have a quick question, so sorry to interrupt. By
Speaker 3: distant cousin, do you mean like he's still in the
Speaker 3: process of evolving into a human because he looks like
Speaker 3: he's in the middle, or did you just mean likes.
Speaker 1: I just been in there, and you know, distant cousins the.
Speaker 2: Right.
Speaker 1: The creature of which he resembles might be a result
Speaker 1: of some of those surgeries that are happening in the prisons.
Speaker 2: I don't know.
Speaker 3: He looks like the evolution of man, like the third one.
Speaker 1: And we are only roasting this man so hard and
Speaker 1: so heavy, so fast, so early, because he is the
Speaker 1: worst husband.
Speaker 3: He's ugly on the outside, and that's why we get
Speaker 3: to call him Ugly's ugly on the inside, and that's
Speaker 3: why we get to call him.
Speaker 1: Oh. I was perfectly fine with how you said it.
Speaker 1: I was like, sure, harsh, but that's exactly what I
Speaker 1: would have said.
Speaker 2: That's that's it.
Speaker 1: He's ugly on the outside, and it is because he's
Speaker 1: ugly on the inside. There is never I've never seen
Speaker 1: a more controlling, ridiculous, man like excuse for a man.
Speaker 1: And in his own he's lucky he has this religion
Speaker 1: to fall back on.
Speaker 3: Oh my, the way I mean, he is like the
Speaker 3: most miserable type of man that you could ever imagine,
Speaker 3: clearly propped up by his family and all the success.
Speaker 3: And here he is number four in this generation of
Speaker 3: surgeons apparently, and he hasn't had to do anything, Like
Speaker 3: he hasn't had to work, he hasn't had to be
Speaker 3: emotionally accountable, he hasn't had to like be nice to anybody.
Speaker 3: And the wild thing is like he chooses that life,
Speaker 3: like he could be an adult and rise above and
Speaker 3: be kind and respectful to his wife, but he's like,
Speaker 3: I don't have to and I'm not gonna no.
Speaker 1: Matter how it makes me look. Like the true definition
Speaker 1: of a narcissist is thinking that is like not trying
Speaker 1: to clean even clean up your act in front of company,
Speaker 1: Like that's crazy to me, Like you were actively wild
Speaker 1: and controlling to this woman in front of our faces.
Speaker 2: And the girls enough and ugly and ugly, poor girl.
Speaker 3: There's like, I mean, it's for all the housewives husbands
Speaker 3: that we have had to endure endoor. He's up there.
Speaker 2: He is up there and young. He's like what twenty
Speaker 2: five twenty six.
Speaker 3: He did his big one for real and.
Speaker 1: So like especially because one Jen's mom talk money that
Speaker 1: he is so upset about because he's so insecure, is
Speaker 1: helping put him through his gambling addiction and medical school.
Speaker 3: Hello, keeping that hair gel in his hair.
Speaker 1: His parents gave him money for medical school and to
Speaker 1: help with their life and expenses like their fucking children. Yeah,
Speaker 1: like to help with his life, and he gambled it away.
Speaker 3: Leaving his pregnant wife to you know, go t work
Speaker 3: on a kitchen island to make ends meat so they
Speaker 3: can eat ramen noodles. And you got the nerve to
Speaker 3: be ungrateful okay.
Speaker 1: Like it makes no sense, and didn't try to control
Speaker 1: what she does with it when she does it all
Speaker 1: those things like it makes I can't even like understand
Speaker 1: the thought process other than you truly have a mental
Speaker 1: health issue happening. There is a narcissism personality disorder there.
Speaker 1: And I'm no psychologist, but let me it's a it's bad.
Speaker 1: Like you are all of twenty five years old. This
Speaker 1: woman is twenty four years old and she wants to
Speaker 1: go to Vegas. They don't even drink kara. They don't drink,
Speaker 1: they don't gamble, they don't do anything. She just wants
Speaker 1: to go out with the girlies make some content to
Speaker 1: make money for your addiction.
Speaker 2: One. You can't even.
Speaker 1: Trust her to go away with her ten best friends
Speaker 1: who are always tiktoking and recording something because you're so
Speaker 1: afraid of what she would do, because you know you
Speaker 1: would be probably doing some messed up stuff, and so
Speaker 1: you have to escort her down to with your other
Speaker 1: abusive buddy, escort her down to Las Vegas, so that
Speaker 1: on a girl's trip, and you are not a girl.
Speaker 1: I do not like when the men get into the
Speaker 1: bitch shit. I don't like that.
Speaker 2: It's very peter of you.
Speaker 1: It's I don't like that. Where's Nini when you need
Speaker 1: her to call you out of your being a damn bitch?
Speaker 1: And then she's there. They go to a Chippendale's thing.
Speaker 2: Yes, I too. My mouth was a game.
Speaker 1: I said, whoa, that's risky for the Mormon girls chicken dales.
Speaker 1: But they went to Chippendale's. They did not even sit
Speaker 1: in the booth yet. No, and he is threatening the divorce.
Speaker 1: I said, you've gotta be kidding me.
Speaker 3: While they're backstage, Layla, the only single one is trying
Speaker 3: to have a decent time oiling down these Chippendale dancers.
Speaker 3: And Jen's in a corner like my marriage.
Speaker 1: Thinking her family is about to be broken up because
Speaker 1: she got on a bush, likely contractually obligated, like.
Speaker 3: You just want you hate her, hate her.
Speaker 1: You hate her because you know she contractually obligated to go,
Speaker 1: and that she did not know where it was because
Speaker 1: it was not her trip, and they wanted it to be,
Speaker 1: you know, jaw dropping, which it was. But we did
Speaker 1: not expect a divorce. And I think that we saw
Speaker 1: that on Taylor's face when she was comforting her and
Speaker 1: yelling at her and calling her all types of things
Speaker 1: and questioning her character and the other of her, his
Speaker 1: children and all the things, and saying's gonna divorce.
Speaker 2: Her, and she seems like.
Speaker 1: Unfortunately, Jim seemed to just digest it as like yes,
Speaker 1: he's gonna do this, and Taylor was like, I'm sorry.
Speaker 3: What when even taylorned.
Speaker 1: She said, no, ma'am, if dakoda, I'm waiting for Dakoda.
Speaker 1: I also made a meme of Taylor is looking for
Speaker 1: anybody to call the hotline to get her out of
Speaker 1: this relationship. He's like, please call if you or someone
Speaker 1: you know has slept with my boyfriend, and no matter
Speaker 1: what amount of time it's been well to decide the
Speaker 1: statue of limitation, Please call today at one eight hundred.
Speaker 2: Get me out of here.
Speaker 3: Like the wind blows. Oh, my god. This sobody say
Speaker 3: the CODEA cheated on me?
Speaker 2: Right now?
Speaker 3: Is that what you said?
Speaker 1: I don't know how to tell her this and Taylor's
Speaker 1: like thank god.
Speaker 3: Like do you want me to break up with them? Like,
Speaker 3: just say it and I'll do it. I'll do it
Speaker 3: right now, I'll.
Speaker 2: Do Is that what you said? You said? Break up?
Speaker 2: You two? My other favorite podcasts to read.
Speaker 1: They typically have like merchandise and says break up with him,
Speaker 1: And I think I'm just waiting for her to do
Speaker 1: her big one and put that one.
Speaker 3: Put it on Dakota. They could do a little dance
Speaker 3: together on TikTok.
Speaker 1: Yeah, like, oh my god, Dakota situation for a different time.
Speaker 2: But Zach and.
Speaker 1: Jen aflack the fact that he would threaten divorce because
Speaker 1: she went with the girls to Chippendale's, did not stay,
Speaker 1: didn't get drunk.
Speaker 2: You're hurt this right.
Speaker 1: She didn't touch them, she did not talk to She
Speaker 1: literally avoided them like the freaking plague because she was
Speaker 1: so uncomfortable. She tried to say no to that. She
Speaker 1: said no to the TikTok, but she didn't advertise that
Speaker 1: she was there. But she wanted to tell her husband
Speaker 1: and He then ghost her for somewhat of like a
Speaker 1: bunch of ten hours and he just goes away.
Speaker 3: And just long enough for him to gamble all the
Speaker 3: money she gave them away.
Speaker 1: Yes, he asked for money before they left on this trip,
Speaker 1: which he did not need, and because he did not
Speaker 1: need to.
Speaker 2: Go and there, she gave.
Speaker 1: Him that money and he gambled it all the way
Speaker 1: because he was upset and he was looking for a
Speaker 1: reason to go and gamble and piss her off.
Speaker 3: Yeah, I know. He was sitting at that Crabs table
Speaker 3: with chips in one hand and the phone and the
Speaker 3: other just being like, I hate you. Look at how
Speaker 3: embarrassing you are sending her Venmo requests, but also being like,
Speaker 3: how dare you? You're ashamed of my family? Can I
Speaker 3: get another fifty dollars? Okay, I'm broke? Okay, well meet
Speaker 3: me here otherwise we're divorcing.
Speaker 1: Yeah, And essentially that's what happened. He left at one thirty,
Speaker 1: she gets a Ubert.
Speaker 2: Two real wow, ruined, Like it's so it.
Speaker 1: Was so crazy, Like I couldn't even focus on Dakota being,
Speaker 1: you know, a hovering piece of shit, because all he
Speaker 1: wants Dakota is so upset that Taylor just got divorced,
Speaker 1: because if she was a little bit younger.
Speaker 2: And not divorced.
Speaker 1: Before, and you didn't already know what it felt like
Speaker 1: to be in a marriage where you don't have like
Speaker 1: trust and things like that, no matter what your background
Speaker 1: is or what your religion states, he would have gotten
Speaker 1: her to marry him by.
Speaker 3: Now, buddy in his hands.
Speaker 2: Yep, you're right, and he is so upset that she
Speaker 2: has a clue.
Speaker 3: I'm trying to wonder. I'm curious about his background, like
Speaker 3: has he not been married before, because you know, given
Speaker 3: the culture, he seems a little old to have not
Speaker 3: had to ring on it before. Yeah, for what's going
Speaker 3: on with you.
Speaker 1: Dakota, Right, And she just also like she just got divorced,
Speaker 1: it's fresh. He does not want to enter into a
Speaker 1: marriage that can end up that way again, like she
Speaker 1: doesn't want to be in that situation, and that's actually
Speaker 1: quite reasonable.
Speaker 2: It helps that he is also a piece.
Speaker 1: Of shit, Yeah, and very controlling as well. Tooks full
Speaker 1: took full opportunity while she's three months or nine months
Speaker 1: pregnant in her third trimester and could deliver any day,
Speaker 1: to take her down to Vegas. As well, which gave
Speaker 1: Zach the end to go with jen Affleck. And that's
Speaker 1: not fair because now Taylor can't even have a nice time.
Speaker 1: What do you think she's gonna get into our pregnant Oh,
Speaker 1: I want to be there case she goes into labor
Speaker 1: at any moment, Sir. As quickly as it was able,
Speaker 1: you were able to go down with her. You were
Speaker 1: also able to get there. If she had went into labor,
Speaker 1: it would have been okay, it would.
Speaker 3: Have been totally fine. And like, we do have to
Speaker 3: mention that Dakota does have substance of abous issues, so
Speaker 3: him going to Vegas probably have been.
Speaker 2: Both of them are triggering crazy.
Speaker 3: Then him being on sand a lot less reasonable than
Speaker 3: you waiting in Utah for her. Their relationship is so
Speaker 3: wild because he is he makes no bones about stressing
Speaker 3: her the fuck out, even when she's crowning, being like
Speaker 3: I want this relationship, Why don't you give me things emotionally?
Speaker 3: And you could just see the light drain out of
Speaker 3: her eyes the longer.
Speaker 1: I keep getting confessions that you sleep with people.
Speaker 2: Yes, it's problematic.
Speaker 1: If you want me to marry you, I can't trust you.
Speaker 1: And he keeps asking it, like, why she won't. He's like,
Speaker 1: I'm committed to all of this and she's like, well,
Speaker 1: I'm telling you don't be because I don't trust you.
Speaker 1: I'm not beating around the bush as to why she's
Speaker 1: doing this, not at all. She's like, hey, guess what
Speaker 1: got another confession or accusation and that you did some shit?
Speaker 1: You want to explain your way out of this one?
Speaker 4: Yeap?
Speaker 3: And can we talk about her mom?
Speaker 2: Yo?
Speaker 3: Wow? Leanne confirmed icon I said that Taylor's like Kristen
Speaker 3: Dody and Leanne is like Stacy's mom and the dynamic
Speaker 3: between them is so wild.
Speaker 1: Yes, because Kristin Doty is actually yeah, tailor is definitely
Speaker 1: a Christen Doty type, more sober.
Speaker 2: She's a sober Christian.
Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, just living one one man after the other. Yeah,
Speaker 3: I end up pregnant. Who cares?
Speaker 2: We really getting?
Speaker 1: You know, she's like the Mormon Kristin Doty, Like she
Speaker 1: just keeps getting, Like Kristin just keeps finding a long
Speaker 1: term boyfriend to like live in boyfriend and keeps finding
Speaker 1: somebody to like have a baby with and love and.
Speaker 3: Mary ones that don't make sense. Who cares? Just back
Speaker 3: the truck up in the driveway moving. I don't care.
Speaker 1: Yeah, sure, why not just got out of get a
Speaker 1: man out of one house? Why not welcome another?
Speaker 3: Look, I don't care. I don't care.
Speaker 2: And yeah, No, Leanne is absolutely legendary.
Speaker 3: She's iconic. She does not care. Like she won't be
Speaker 3: like sweetie, I don't know. She'll look at her nine
Speaker 3: months pregnant daughter and be like, you should never have
Speaker 3: gotten pregnant in the first place.
Speaker 2: That was past it.
Speaker 3: It's too late, mom, Like.
Speaker 2: Come on, hey, but I do have to admit.
Speaker 1: Twice twice I said, damn, you really hate to see it,
Speaker 1: like you really hate to see.
Speaker 2: She's gonna love the shit out of that baby.
Speaker 1: But let me tell you, she only had that baby
Speaker 1: because she truly believes that she.
Speaker 2: Wanted to have that baby.
Speaker 1: Oh yeah, and would love that baby and be a
Speaker 1: mom like she likes being a mom because there was
Speaker 1: I could tell he never probably entered the equation for her.
Speaker 3: No, this is all just part of the chaos that
Speaker 3: she craves of. Like I had this swinging scandal and
Speaker 3: then I divorced, and then I'm finding this big eyed
Speaker 3: weirdo and then like we're falling in love or having
Speaker 3: sex or whatever, and you know, we have a baby.
Speaker 3: Then there's a miscarriage, but she's still feeling like, oh,
Speaker 3: she's still shaky with mom talks. So she's riding high
Speaker 3: with this again big eyed weirdo. And then they're like, yeah,
Speaker 3: let's have another baby. And then finally her life starts
Speaker 3: getting a little bit more stable and she's like, oh, oh, yeah,
Speaker 3: that I have tethered myself to him.
Speaker 2: Yeah, I think.
Speaker 1: I kind of built that stability on a little bit
Speaker 1: of quicksand there. So and so, the a couple of
Speaker 1: sinkholes happening, like he's still around because you pulled him around,
Speaker 1: and now you want to get rid of him, and
Speaker 1: it looks so bad, so toxic. It does feel like
Speaker 1: we are Kristin and Tom. I have not seen a
Speaker 1: relationship mirror Kristin and Tom since like this when they
Speaker 1: are fighting on the way to the car, they could
Speaker 1: not get into the car because they were just fighting.
Speaker 2: Taylor and in.
Speaker 1: Dakota and literally Zach and Jen have to be like,
Speaker 1: do you want to finish this conversation on the road
Speaker 1: because we gotta go right it's a four hour drive
Speaker 1: that might be traffic.
Speaker 3: The second half of the season of just those two
Speaker 3: couples being like, y'all are fucked up, Damn they're crazy.
Speaker 3: Then they're crazy, then they end up getting in fights
Speaker 3: because they're actually the crazier couple.
Speaker 1: It's yeah, it's a it's a It's literally like a
Speaker 1: pissing contest of who can be more toxic and chaotic. Yep,
Speaker 1: and I don't know who wins. Every episode is something new,
Speaker 1: it really wins. We won, yeah for real, Like wow,
Speaker 1: because you know they are fighting all the time, and
Speaker 1: now she's like, I'm genuinely worried every time that they
Speaker 1: have a conversation because also maybe it's this is a
Speaker 1: narcissistic like but all I'm gonna be the straight man thing.
Speaker 2: They're getting a lot away.
Speaker 1: With a lot with these pretty girls because these girls
Speaker 1: like men and have to marry men, and they're they
Speaker 1: need them to feel that, like to believe that because
Speaker 1: if you pop up at my Airbnb while I am
Speaker 1: pregnant and I did not call you here, and you
Speaker 1: walked through the house.
Speaker 3: And there's a Labya's only sign on the front door,
Speaker 3: did you not read? Can you not read?
Speaker 2: It's on the door?
Speaker 3: The way Demmy or Jesse I'm not sure, just kept
Speaker 3: getting more and more upset, and I'm like, I don't
Speaker 3: want men around. Why don't we get this?
Speaker 1: It's true because there's nothing worse than being like on
Speaker 1: a girl's trip or on a trip and that person
Speaker 1: like that, it's one person that you can't stand is
Speaker 1: there and doesn't it wasn't gonna be or something like that,
Speaker 1: and then it up like they probably would not have
Speaker 1: wanted any men there. Sure, But more than that, they
Speaker 1: don't like da Kota or is that they know that
Speaker 1: they're the most control, Like they're really uncomfortable with the
Speaker 1: fact that they're there, and their husbands are not like
Speaker 1: what is wrong with you?
Speaker 3: Right right? Patriarchy?
Speaker 1: The other men are genuinely like, I don't care have
Speaker 1: fun by I mean, I'm going to play NBA two
Speaker 1: K and make sure the baby go to their parents
Speaker 1: my parents' house.
Speaker 3: There were points when, you know, like Whitney and Connor
Speaker 3: were having to do their own little side show that
Speaker 3: Connor would try to talk sense into Whitney and be like,
Speaker 3: are you sure that this is the path you really
Speaker 3: want to go down? And she'd be like, yeah, I do, yeah,
Speaker 3: And he said I would have talked to Connor. I
Speaker 3: would have kicked it with Connor.
Speaker 1: Yeah, He's like are you are you sure about that?
Speaker 1: And Whitney isn't. She has ideas and I want to
Speaker 1: say they're like overbait, which for her makes sense.
Speaker 2: Follow me.
Speaker 1: I think that if she were to make a cast
Speaker 1: for all, it would be overbaked, very dry, not good,
Speaker 1: you know what I mean, Like it's too done. It's
Speaker 1: too overthought and too overdone. It have like either too
Speaker 1: many seasonings or so many different ingredients and enough seasonings
Speaker 1: that kind of thing.
Speaker 2: Unenjoyable.
Speaker 3: Definitely not enough seasonings. But I like the option that
Speaker 3: she might put too many.
Speaker 1: That was nice to fe Well, you know, maybe she
Speaker 1: likes solid TikTok. You know they do that now and
Speaker 1: they put everything in their cabinet in there and then
Speaker 1: you know, God bless the poem people. They she has
Speaker 1: these ideas and they're so like they're not half baked,
Speaker 1: they're just ridiculous, so right, like they go so or
Speaker 1: what does it left?
Speaker 2: They go so left?
Speaker 1: That like how you think that's how we got to
Speaker 1: where Her controversy even starts with one putting a spatula
Speaker 1: and her husband's ass because he was on Tender while
Speaker 1: she was pregnant, which he also No one's accusing him
Speaker 1: of only doing that as a stunt, because having a
Speaker 1: cheating scandal still a does mean you are heterosexual.
Speaker 3: For an addiction that only seemed to manifest in sending
Speaker 3: nudes to people on Tender.
Speaker 1: Okay, Okay, So anyways he's doing that, and so she
Speaker 1: puts a spatula ups. But if I can have you,
Speaker 1: no one will. Okay, strike and choice number one too.
Speaker 1: She goes like extra viral in a very controversial way.
Speaker 2: I'm gonna make light of it because it is.
Speaker 1: It weirds me out, like it just weirds me out,
Speaker 1: so I have to make jokes about it. It's how
Speaker 1: I cope in therapy. It's fine. She makes a video
Speaker 1: a TikTok of herself dancing with like tears in her eyes,
Speaker 1: dancing next to her baby who was in the hospital
Speaker 1: with RSV in like the ICU or something in the
Speaker 1: tubes are in this baby's nose and we can see them,
Speaker 1: we can see the baby in the tubes, and she
Speaker 1: is dropping it like it's hot right there next to
Speaker 1: the baby's plastic basting at in the hospital.
Speaker 2: And let me tell you. The people had words. They
Speaker 2: were not fans.
Speaker 1: White women said oh bitch, enough, okay, enough of you.
Speaker 2: I've had it. This goes against everything.
Speaker 1: The like the mom Talk girls were like, oh my god,
Speaker 1: cloud Chaser, I was like, wait what, Oh my gosh.
Speaker 3: The way that it comes out on the show is
Speaker 3: hilarious because we find out and like the very first
Speaker 3: few episodes that one of the reasons why Whitney is
Speaker 3: so upset is because she feels like people rallied around
Speaker 3: Taylor and her hoeing and showing well her.
Speaker 1: They forgave Taylor as right, that was her thing that
Speaker 1: people forgave her, but they did not forgive Whitney, which
Speaker 1: I'm at a loss for the connections. Yeah, one also
Speaker 1: brought us a show and a TV deal. Hell yeah,
Speaker 1: we forgave her. Because if you think that anybody's production
Speaker 1: company worthy of note that could get to deal with
Speaker 1: Hulu would want to do a show about the woman
Speaker 1: who danced next to the RSV, they didn't. They wouldn't,
Speaker 1: they would not. It would just do the news cycle
Speaker 1: because people be like, what the fuck anything for cloud
Speaker 1: S mh They would not give you a show but
Speaker 1: a soft swinging Mormon mommy community Hello that lives their
Speaker 1: life on TikTok. But we didn't know this existed. But
Speaker 1: there are screenshots. Man, there's us only fans bitch or
Speaker 1: picking up the cameras, like, yes, they forgave her.
Speaker 2: And I think that Witny is missing that. I really
Speaker 2: do think she is.
Speaker 1: She's missing a lot of things because that would strike too,
Speaker 1: and my biggest strike, which I'm glad they put late
Speaker 1: because if they did it in the first I too
Speaker 1: would have turned it off. So I'm gonna trigger one
Speaker 1: of people who just have a really big trigger with.
Speaker 2: Germs and nasty things. Ugh, nasty things like I had.
Speaker 1: I can't tell my mama to watch it because if
Speaker 1: she sees that she will never recover, she will scream.
Speaker 1: She has germophobe situation. She screams a lot when she
Speaker 1: doesn't like the hygiene of something or the cleanliness of something.
Speaker 2: Screams at it.
Speaker 1: And I'm not talking about like yelling or going like
Speaker 1: Gordon Ramsay, she goes oh, but she just screams.
Speaker 2: So I'm a mad character.
Speaker 1: So like if she saw them serve a birthday cake
Speaker 1: at a family dinner, which my mom would love to do,
Speaker 1: that's like her her thing. She loves family dinner, she
Speaker 1: loves a birthday cake. And if she cut into that
Speaker 1: cake and there was one a pregnancy test in it,
Speaker 1: she would automatically deem it unsanitary because she would Ninka
Speaker 1: came out of the box, and that would.
Speaker 2: Be unsanitary to her.
Speaker 1: She now come to reveal that your pregnancy test in
Speaker 1: it is one hundred and you're proud of it.
Speaker 2: The stick you peed upon.
Speaker 4: Mmm.
Speaker 3: And it was the fact that the teenage sister had
Speaker 3: to break it down for her.
Speaker 1: Yes, she said, well the cap is on it, Whitney,
Speaker 1: my love, I need you, I need you to come
Speaker 1: sit down, Come sit down, Like I immediately thought, well there
Speaker 1: goes a good cake. What was that like three hundred dollars?
Speaker 1: They had real fun advice.
Speaker 3: Hmm. And and her mama was licking her fingers holding
Speaker 3: the pregnancy text text test licking her fingers while her
Speaker 3: sister was y'all.
Speaker 1: Why don't you just do it like King Cake style
Speaker 1: and put like a little baby in it?
Speaker 3: What a little baby if they.
Speaker 2: Sell the little babies at the at the at the
Speaker 2: king Cake stores.
Speaker 3: And also like what I don't know, like technology, but
Speaker 3: like I don't know, what if the inner parts of
Speaker 3: that pregnancy test are melting, Like what about the p
Speaker 3: what about the melting plastic? It's a lot going on
Speaker 3: in there.
Speaker 2: I it's a terrible idea.
Speaker 3: And the cakes looked so good and I was so upset.
Speaker 1: I was impressibly being the cake and they're gonna do
Speaker 1: a gender reveal as she pregnant. I don't understand. What
Speaker 1: could they put in the cake at ring and she
Speaker 1: not Mary, what is it? And to find out that
Speaker 1: it was a pregnancy stick and I was like, oh, well,
Speaker 1: that ruins it. And then to find out she peed
Speaker 1: upon it that I didn't even consider it because that
Speaker 1: was so far fetched to me. I was like, you
Speaker 1: could have literally just put a fresh one in there
Speaker 1: and people would have still been like, are you pregnant?
Speaker 2: And you would have still had to say, yes, I am.
Speaker 3: The exchange would have gone the exact same.
Speaker 1: One, exactly the same. You did not have to use
Speaker 1: that exact same stick they come to in the case
Speaker 1: sometimes three.
Speaker 3: And here's what really gagby is that she was like,
Speaker 3: you know, and this is gonna be my last child,
Speaker 3: and everybody was like okay, and she's looking at them
Speaker 3: like she just broke them down with like the worst
Speaker 3: possible news, like, oh no, Whitney, give us another baby.
Speaker 2: Children with the husband with a different hair plug.
Speaker 3: Oh how hard breaking.
Speaker 1: But he has really nice bangs today. What if you
Speaker 1: feel the heat and you just like want to make
Speaker 1: another one?
Speaker 3: Please have another baby, Whitney, Please?
Speaker 1: Yes that whatever show that man do now to prove
Speaker 1: that he is straight, because let me tell you something,
Speaker 1: having three kids won't do it anymore. Look at bron
Speaker 1: Win's seven hello, like bring a ding ding?
Speaker 2: Three is not enough. We're still looking at you a
Speaker 2: little bit crooked conor wo I have never I mean?
Speaker 1: And then the gag is Winny doesn't go to any
Speaker 1: of the events all year, the baby shower for Taylor.
Speaker 2: Taylor genuinely did not know that they were not friends.
Speaker 1: She was like, I had no idea you hated me,
Speaker 1: And She's like, you would you have told me because
Speaker 1: I could have done something.
Speaker 2: We could have talked about it, like she wanted a friendship.
Speaker 1: I actually felt really bad for Taylor, and Whitney can't
Speaker 1: even admit that the only reason she hates Taylor is
Speaker 1: because everyone rallied around her. Aka, you got a TV show,
Speaker 1: you got the world to pay attention, and but Taylor.
Speaker 1: People roasted Taylor for out and out all her friends
Speaker 1: and everything, like we're any because of the mess and
Speaker 1: how people felt about her, but like they still felt
Speaker 1: that way about her.
Speaker 2: We're just here in spite of that.
Speaker 3: Right, And Taylor brought up a great point of Whitney,
Speaker 3: if you're so upset about this fallout and how it
Speaker 3: looked to you, can we go to your TikTok and
Speaker 3: see how many videos there are of you mentioning wink wink.
Speaker 3: Maybe I was in mom Talk, maybe I was swinging.
Speaker 3: Why are you capitalizing off this if it was such
Speaker 3: a problem.
Speaker 1: Right, and you moved to Hawaii and now you're.
Speaker 3: Back, and then now suddenly you're back.
Speaker 2: Suddenly I wonder why.
Speaker 1: But it's just giving you that you don't like the
Speaker 1: fact that it used to be ambiguous as who was
Speaker 1: like the leader or the head bitch in charge of
Speaker 1: mom Talk and the girlies. What if they had, if
Speaker 1: they had a democracy of the people, it was gonna
Speaker 1: give Taylor.
Speaker 3: Somebody brought up the great point that Whitney is a
Speaker 3: lot like Vicky Gunbolson.
Speaker 2: Oh my god, wow.
Speaker 3: Yet they were like like mean girl adjacent, like not
Speaker 3: cool enough to be in, but she clearly would get
Speaker 3: some sort of attention from being mean from those cool girls,
Speaker 3: and maybe she didn't interpret it necessarily as like how
Speaker 3: she should have, like it wasn't necessarily good attention, Like yeah,
Speaker 3: maybe they're laughing, but they're not necessarily laughing with you.
Speaker 3: But now you've just programmed yourself to just be mean
Speaker 3: because you think that that's what is going to get
Speaker 3: you that positive reinforcement, and it's not working when you're thirty.
Speaker 2: No it's not.
Speaker 1: But also I thought you were going to say that
Speaker 1: she's giving Vicky Gumbleson vibes in that Vicky can't move
Speaker 1: on because she is like I created this, like this
Speaker 1: is you have to do it with me, and she's
Speaker 1: mad when anyone tries to be thrown her when it's like,
Speaker 1: no one's trying to do throne. There is no such thing.
Speaker 1: This throne is in your head, your insecurity is in
Speaker 1: your head.
Speaker 3: Right all to be the queen bee. But we don't
Speaker 3: have to do that, like like.
Speaker 2: What do you mean?
Speaker 1: And now they're like, oh, it doesn't want to be Taylor,
Speaker 1: so now and now it's none of you this because
Speaker 1: Taylor never wanted it, so you hate her for no reason.
Speaker 1: It was like, do you not see my life right now?
Speaker 1: I am freshly divorced. I got this in my house,
Speaker 1: this man in my house that I don't want.
Speaker 2: I'm having this baby.
Speaker 1: He wants the baby, but he also wants me with it,
Speaker 1: and I'm trying to tell him no, no, we can
Speaker 1: have baby and no me and you, and he doesn't
Speaker 1: get it. And there's a new girl coming out that
Speaker 1: slept with him every day. You think I got time
Speaker 1: to coordinate dances and which blu set we're wearing on Tuesday?
Speaker 3: I got a lot going on.
Speaker 2: I got a lot going on.
Speaker 1: Girl called a blowing up my phone popping up at
Speaker 1: air and Airbnb's I'm three, I'm nine months pregnant.
Speaker 2: It's too much. And then you want me to do
Speaker 2: of a mom top, No, ma'am.
Speaker 1: And so now it's not Whitney because she keep on
Speaker 1: following herself. She did all of this four attention, and
Speaker 1: little did she know if she had just suck it
Speaker 1: out and tried not to make everything about her by
Speaker 1: not coming to things, by on following people, by making
Speaker 1: these big grand gestures of attention and pick me behavior
Speaker 1: she would have been like rightfully, like at the top,
Speaker 1: she would have been fine.
Speaker 3: Yeah, And she ended up just proving everybody's point, Like
Speaker 3: everybody her in the beginning, you basically just use people
Speaker 3: for your own selfish advantages and then when you don't
Speaker 3: need them, you let them go, which is what she
Speaker 3: did to Macy, who was the only girl who was
Speaker 3: nice to her, and like trying to build bridges between
Speaker 3: Whitney and everybody else and maintain a friendship with Whitney.
Speaker 3: And what happened all of a sudden, you're not going
Speaker 3: up to my birthday party, but.
Speaker 2: Your actual birthday what.
Speaker 3: Like, you show up to somebody else's No, No, it
Speaker 3: wasn't her birthday party, her her baby mom or her
Speaker 3: brand launch.
Speaker 2: Yeah, her brand launch.
Speaker 1: That was really sad because that was special, that was
Speaker 1: important to her. That's her launching something. That's like the friend.
Speaker 1: That's what you do as a friend. You don't just
Speaker 1: do ketamine and spell people's secrets. You go to their
Speaker 1: brand launches because she has a business and she's a businesswoman, right,
Speaker 1: but but your friend, that's a homegirl.
Speaker 3: But you can show up to Mikayla's birthday party when
Speaker 3: you were not invited, and you know nobody wants to
Speaker 3: see you at this point and act like.
Speaker 1: You know they're mad because you didn't go to her opening, right,
Speaker 1: They're like, wait, what why wouldn't she come and do that?
Speaker 1: Like you won't following everybody? What temper tantrum are you throwing?
Speaker 1: What did we do to you? That's why no one's
Speaker 1: calling you. They're thinking you just need space or something,
Speaker 1: because they're like, obviously she's not in a good place
Speaker 1: cause we haven't done a goddamn thing.
Speaker 2: She just keeps.
Speaker 1: Reacting, right, You just keep getting notifications that Whitney has
Speaker 1: left us again, like what is this? She had followed
Speaker 1: everyone but one but Macie. I think you don't go
Speaker 1: to her thing, so you just keep being absent so
Speaker 1: they have something to talk about. But like, also, she's
Speaker 1: lying because she didn't go to Taylor's baby shower, and
Speaker 1: they literally came to her house and filmed and talked
Speaker 1: about why she didn't go, right, they came and checked
Speaker 1: on her, yep, and that didn't render any benefits. She
Speaker 1: still stopped coming to things, and then you one followed everybody,
Speaker 1: including the people who came and checked on you.
Speaker 3: So you went to Costco got a big ass bag
Speaker 3: of off brand fruity pebbles to talk about somebod these
Speaker 3: pussy on camera. But you don't know why people don't
Speaker 3: really care to call you and chase after you.
Speaker 1: Yeah, fruity pebbles, man, that's wow. You know what reminded
Speaker 1: me of?
Speaker 2: I don't.
Speaker 1: This is like the only sports reference that I can make,
Speaker 1: and my wife is going to be so proud me
Speaker 1: for making a basketball one. Even I don't know who
Speaker 1: any of these people are, but there was once upon
Speaker 1: a time where somebody on a basketball team made a
Speaker 1: comment on to Carmelo Anthony on another basketball team about
Speaker 1: how his wife Lalla Anthony tasted like cheerios on the court.
Speaker 3: Oh my god.
Speaker 1: And then like a nice little fighty fight broke out,
Speaker 1: and I was remember it being all over and I
Speaker 1: was like.
Speaker 2: Oh that you mentioned it. I was like, oh, my goodness.
Speaker 1: But that's what it reminded me of, because and if
Speaker 1: you asked me where I went today, I could not
Speaker 1: tell you a running list of all the errands that
Speaker 1: I've run.
Speaker 2: But that from about ten years ago.
Speaker 1: Never forget because on the court in my workplace, that's crazy.
Speaker 2: How dare you.
Speaker 1: That's crazy about my wife. You're mean, But no, Whitney,
Speaker 1: you're a terrible girl.
Speaker 2: You just are. I'm sorry, You're not a girl's girl.
Speaker 1: It's not giving I ooh, the real villain. I know
Speaker 1: it's eating her up, Like I know that the production
Speaker 1: cameras are eating her up. So I want her to
Speaker 1: be a little careful with asking for them cameras to
Speaker 1: lift up a little bit earlier because she's I think
Speaker 1: her strategy would just be to get on the better
Speaker 1: side of the public. I think she will analyze herself.
Speaker 1: The narcissism will kick in, and she will identify all
Speaker 1: the things that she did wrong in the eyes of
Speaker 1: the people based on the feedback that she's gonna get,
Speaker 1: and she's going to perform differently.
Speaker 2: I think she's gonna be reaching out the Taylor very.
Speaker 3: Like I was going through a tough time and now
Speaker 3: I'm like ready.
Speaker 1: To get that's the tough time, sis.
Speaker 3: That's another Whitney, another healing journey.
Speaker 1: I'm sure, like, what is the tough time that Taylor
Speaker 1: wasn't going to? Taylor came to every event and the
Speaker 1: girl is pregnant.
Speaker 3: We can see it checking Connor's hair to make sure
Speaker 3: that the you know, little little grains weren't falling out.
Speaker 2: Like I cannot, I don't even understand. Listen.
Speaker 1: It was probably one of the best binges that I've
Speaker 1: done in a really long time. And I know some
Speaker 1: pretty excellent binges lately, a lot of docuseries, a lot
Speaker 1: of true crime. Uh. We'll get into that at the
Speaker 1: portion of the show of what we're what else we're watching,
Speaker 1: But this was a.
Speaker 2: Nice production Hulu.
Speaker 1: I even venture to say, if this does not if
Speaker 1: we have not convinced you yet to watch, if you
Speaker 1: have not watched yet, and I'll be doing an episode
Speaker 1: by episode uh situation next week, probably for a little
Speaker 1: bit for the Patreon and stuff, if you want to
Speaker 1: get into that, and really are and because I have
Speaker 1: to do another rewatch, I just have to. But this
Speaker 1: was what I wanted SLC to be, and I think
Speaker 1: this is better.
Speaker 3: I don't disagree. But I also feel like there are
Speaker 3: a lot of people who are like, oh, bring Whitney
Speaker 3: over to this show, bring Monica over to the show,
Speaker 3: and I think we can just like allow them to
Speaker 3: be two different things.
Speaker 2: Yes, both of that, absolutely.
Speaker 1: I think what I mean is that like this is
Speaker 1: scratching the itch that I thought SLC would scratch.
Speaker 2: Get it.
Speaker 1: They have only loosely touched on the Mormon thing. We've
Speaker 1: only gotten it from Heather's perspective and her from her
Speaker 1: being a bad Mormon. And Lisa Barlowe, who's like wants
Speaker 1: us to believe she doesn't drink, Like.
Speaker 2: But aequila company.
Speaker 1: If you owned a tequila company and didn't drink tequila,
Speaker 1: we would know by the.
Speaker 2: Way it tasted.
Speaker 1: Hello, Okay, But it's also not a production right now,
Speaker 1: some member she doesn't drink.
Speaker 2: I don't know.
Speaker 1: Allegedly, but I think I just wanted that TLC Deep
Speaker 1: Dive a little bit like that that actual Docuseriies Lens,
Speaker 1: with the drama of a Housewives production and the high
Speaker 1: quality of like Bravo producing it.
Speaker 3: Yeah, I think these women thrived without Bravo because then
Speaker 3: they weren't They weren't gonna be like, oh, I'm on Bravo,
Speaker 3: Like you gotta make a name for yourself on Hulu.
Speaker 3: When they did, they absolutely did.
Speaker 2: They absolutely did.
Speaker 1: They did their big one, And I think that's what
Speaker 1: I really wanted to see, Like Hulu has the production
Speaker 1: value that Bravo would have had. You know those embassy
Speaker 1: that NBC money who has that they gave them, that
Speaker 1: they give them.
Speaker 2: A full, good production budget.
Speaker 1: Like we weren't disappointed by where they were staying or
Speaker 1: what they were doing or the trips they went on.
Speaker 2: It all made sense. It was fine.
Speaker 1: But also the drama was high level. But also we're
Speaker 1: getting background into like the rules of the Mormon Church
Speaker 1: because some of the the were actually practicing still and
Speaker 1: not pretending to or are converts, like they're like, no, girl,
Speaker 1: we easily breathe this, like when Jen had a whole
Speaker 1: freak out because she didn't have her garments and like
Speaker 1: I didn't even realize or think about her husband is
Speaker 1: probably she's like probably scared of her husband's reaction.
Speaker 3: And the baby blessing that they had, and how she
Speaker 3: had to basically disinvite all half of the cast because
Speaker 3: they weren't good enough for Zach and his brand of Mormonism.
Speaker 2: That's crazy.
Speaker 3: Mm hmmm, it's so crazy.
Speaker 1: So yeah, it was a really good binge. I think
Speaker 1: that Hulu did an excellent job. I know they're already
Speaker 1: sitting on season two because they already have the breast
Speaker 1: of the be roll because they really left on a cliffhanger,
Speaker 1: and I think that was on purpose and I'm totally
Speaker 1: fine with that as long as you don't take too long, please, hulare.
Speaker 2: I can't do that.
Speaker 1: I think that's what I feel. Like, what's your you know,
Speaker 1: your boomer complaint. It's like, why are y'all taking a
Speaker 1: year for eight episodes?
Speaker 2: I need to know.
Speaker 3: We're gonna need them back Q two.
Speaker 1: Like, for real, I need them to get it together
Speaker 1: because you immediately, I need to know how this went.
Speaker 1: I need to know after the nice little phone call happens.
Speaker 1: I mean, we already know Dakota guilty, but like, I
Speaker 1: really want to hear it.
Speaker 3: Yeah we oham girl, Yeah, we need to hear from
Speaker 3: Jenna what happened?
Speaker 1: You need to hear from Jenna, Like and honestly, I
Speaker 1: can't wait to redo this again. I'm gonna watch this
Speaker 1: entire show over this weekend. I'm gonna probably do a
Speaker 1: talk more episode by episode about it or in chunks
Speaker 1: and some updates on where everyone is now. I got
Speaker 1: to do a lot of like some deep dive ADHD homework,
Speaker 1: but I'm so ready. I remember really loving and being
Speaker 1: thrilled by this community of people that have absolutely nothing
Speaker 1: to do with me, Like couldn't be more opposing in
Speaker 1: anything in any other way from every angle, But man,
Speaker 1: am I hooked?
Speaker 2: Like Oh it's so good.
Speaker 1: I had a very nice time, and I had an
Speaker 1: even nicer time talking with you, Kara.
Speaker 2: Thank you so much for being here. This was so much.
Speaker 3: Fun, and thank you for having me.
Speaker 2: This was a dream. Oh my god.
Speaker 1: I just to be able to get it because I
Speaker 1: have been trying to talk about this show all week
Speaker 1: and I keep pushing people and they don't understand that,
Speaker 1: like time is of the essence, like it's not, but
Speaker 1: like why haven't you finished? How can you not move
Speaker 1: on to the next one? Like every episode my jaw
Speaker 1: dropped more? And don't you want that for yourself?
Speaker 3: We should all want that for ourselves. And if you
Speaker 3: don't look in the.
Speaker 1: Mirror, yes exactly, Kara. Please tell everyone where they can
Speaker 1: find you listen to you. You did a killer deep
Speaker 1: dive in conversation about it as well, and you talk
Speaker 1: about absolutely everything that I don't have the bandwidth too.
Speaker 2: But why all of it's very confusing how that works
Speaker 2: in my brain?
Speaker 1: Where can they find you, listen to you and get
Speaker 1: more of all that good stuff.
Speaker 3: Yeah, my podcast is called Everyone's Business But Mine. You
Speaker 3: can listen to that everywhere you listen to podcasts. Give
Speaker 3: me a follow on Instagram at Everyone's Business but Mine
Speaker 3: currently or you know, actually, in the upcoming future, we
Speaker 3: will be talking sister wives. Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,
Speaker 3: Welcome to plotfill rel Housewives of Orange County, Pop Culture,
Speaker 3: deep Dives. I don't know how I'm gonna do this,
Speaker 3: but I'll figure it out.
Speaker 1: Oh my god, exactly, Like Kara does all the work
Speaker 1: and the heavy liftings so you don't have to, or
Speaker 1: she like makes you want to. I have to listen
Speaker 1: sometimes with certain seasons especially of well Palm people shows, occasions,
Speaker 1: different shows that I'm not super familiar with. I want
Speaker 1: to I want to study and learn more, and I
Speaker 1: have to run it through like three different podcasts before
Speaker 1: I know it's credible. And you are in that lineup,
Speaker 1: like if you're talking about it and telling me the things,
Speaker 1: and I'm like okay, and I get real understanding of
Speaker 1: whether or not I just need to be only a
Speaker 1: little bit interested in this to listen to you talk
Speaker 1: about it and like I'll do it's fine, Or if
Speaker 1: I'm like, girl, I.
Speaker 2: Need to go watch this. What at least this episode.
Speaker 1: What are they talking about over in the platmill like
Speaker 1: cover that?
Speaker 2: It's so good.
Speaker 3: I'm a white mess whisperer, I will.
Speaker 1: Say that, and I think that's fantastic because I'm a
Speaker 1: white watcher like hooked.
Speaker 3: So thanks so much again for having me.
Speaker 1: Thank you so much for being here. Thank you guys
Speaker 1: for listening. You can find me on all the things
Speaker 1: at the Mix with Moni if you're listening to this
Speaker 1: on whatever podcasts platform you like, the Mix with Money,
Speaker 1: but also on Instagram still mixing with Moni and my
Speaker 1: x I g w I, T H M A n I.
Speaker 1: And like I said, I will be covering more Wives
Speaker 1: of Mormon lives episode by episode kind of thing or
Speaker 1: in chunks, but also doing some back to Bravo things
Speaker 1: oh see and talking the trailers and all that.
Speaker 2: But this just we needed to talk about this.
Speaker 1: I needed to get this out there because this was
Speaker 1: a moment in pop culture that I can't not talk about.
Speaker 1: Oh my god, Kara, before I let you go, did
Speaker 1: you watch the VMAs?
Speaker 3: I will listen. I had it.
Speaker 1: On Yes, you did on mute like I did on
Speaker 1: Tuesday with that other performance that happened.
Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I had it on. It was mostly on mute,
Speaker 3: but I did. I did keep up. I saw things.
Speaker 1: You saw things, Okay, it was curious if how you
Speaker 1: felt about Megan as a host.
Speaker 3: I think she's adorable.
Speaker 2: She is adorable.
Speaker 3: I you know, like you can only do so much
Speaker 3: with the writing.
Speaker 1: You know that, Yes, okay, yeah, fair you guys take
Speaker 1: care of yourselves. I'll be talking more about the things
Speaker 1: next week. Thank you for listening. Love you, Bye.
