And two I was like, y'all, what is Aaron up to? So, guys, welcome back to the show Aaron from Bravo where Black. It's been so long, but I'm so happy you're here.

1:19 Speaker 2: So happy to be here? When Manni was like, can you go into the pod? I was like, absolutely, because it's been I think, and we were talking about it before the podcast, it's been like two years.

2:48 Speaker 1: Means for thee k Michelle to be on Housewives of Atlanta from another a reality show, but even being on this at all, knowing that she is who she is, I'm like, we need some I need some who knows the story, who knows who this person is, who knows where we are coming from, who I really And now I have to ask all, especially all my cousins, like you know, the Negroes, where were you when you found out Ca Michelle was going to be on the house was up Atlanta? And were you excited for that switch?

3:19 Speaker 2: I don't even remember where I was, So I do remember like scrolling on Twitter and I've seen it and they put the cast. I think they had just announced that Kay Michelle was going to be on it, but at the time, I think when I first seen it, it was an official until Bravo announced it and then I was like, oh, okay, that's interesting, and I'll be quite honest, when I first heard it, I was like, oh gosh, okay, yeah it was. It was kind of good because you're so used to seeing her on Love and Hip Hop Atlanta and so for her to transition into Housewives of Atlanta, you're kind of nervous about it.

3:59 Speaker 2: You're like, how is she going to transition? Are we turning House us at Lena into Love It hip Hop now? Because you know last season. I'm gonna be honest, last season kind of felt like that's the direction that was going in because we had with Edie, we had yeah, and those were you know and everything. Yeah, and it was just it was kind of cool that last season was crazy. So I'm like, adding k Michelle to this MITx, but I'm not gonna lie. When I've seen the first episode, my opinion of it changed. But I did go into it with an open heart because I was like, I do really like Kate Michelle.

4:39 Speaker 2: I even watched her season of Queen's Court with Lisa ray Yea and Delicious very good.

4:46 Speaker 1: Yeah. I like both of those women a lot too. It's it's interesting because I think we had a very similar experience. I was nervous. I am a person who exists in all gutters of the highways, is what I say I will be. I watched The Love of Hip Hop. I watched you know, Houses of Atlanta. I watch whatever VH one was putting out. You know, once upon a time, it was like, if you put it out there and you had an ensemble female cask, I was gonna watch it. And I'm a fan of ky Michelle's music, even before she was on Love and Hip Hop, I remember thinking she shouldn't have been on Love and Hip Hop.

5:17 Speaker 1: I remember being like, why is ky Michelle slumming it with us on Love and Hip Hop? And then I was like, oh, no, she fits in well down here with us. She's a reforms crash out.

5:29 Speaker 2: I did your reform. I don't necessarily know if this reform. No, I still think it's in her, Like I mean, I do think that she has calmed down a lot because she's just in a different place in her life. Like she's married now, you know, she's trying to have a baby. It's a bunch of stuff going on. And one thing that I do appreciate about k Michelle, and we're seeing that throughout this season. It's just how vulnerable she is and how open she is with everything that's going on. Absolutely, because a lot of people wouldn't want to talk about some of the issues that she's talking about, or they would be, you know, either embarrassed or too shy or you know.

6:13 Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll give it. I'll give her that. I mean, the newbies this season, and one thing I love about Atlanta is that when you come on here, you really have to be about it, like you have to be ready to put it all out there because the girls will call you out on and if you're not, or they'll pull you.

6:25 Speaker 3: Out of it. Okay, we'll get to Porsche in a second. I feel like this is the.

6:32 Speaker 3: I'm starting the season saying it's really hard.

6:34 Speaker 1: It might be really hard for me to be a Porsche fan this season, but I'm gonna persist. Here I go again, you're fighting, We're having a hard time. But I will say starting off this episode with Kate Michelle being in the hospital still like, you know, getting herself in the first thing and the most important thing to her being do I look good? I was like, oh no, she's in the right place. So she settled into the right nest of people. This is where she should be. I do feel it. She's getting her glam done in the hospital.

7:08 Speaker 1: You know, she's making sure that she even discharged looks like you know she was. She's always ready, so she don't gotta get ready. As Phadrius said, you know, I've talked about this on the podcast before. If you did watch Love and Hip Hop, you know that she had a lot of complications via free silicone, like kind of being in her body after injections, booty injections and after not like kind of getting some back alley things done to the butt to make it pop. A lot of the girlies in the industry were doing it.

7:40 Speaker 1: I won't even say that long ago. It feels like it was just yesterday that I feel like every girl was on a you know what I mean, Like they would be in the shape room. You would see them like a on their knees on the plane because they just got the things done from wherever the hell and plumping it up. But KENI show has been very open and honest about that even before now. But she really the girls really rallied around her. It seemed, you know, they were texting, calling like are you okay? Are you good?

8:11 Speaker 1: I thought that the husband was not as supportive as he could be, But it's fine.

8:22 Speaker 2: I'm glad you pointed that out, because even when she was like do I look good, he was like, yeah.

8:32 Speaker 2: Right? And and I you know what I do chalk it up to the fact that maybe he's been there since she was admitted into the hospital, so it could be because he's tired, you know, I like minded and just okay, you know, so.

8:49 Speaker 1: I quick the shit on a man, Honey, I'm quick to be like bad, be bad for my girls because I just want them to be have the best, you know what I mean, Like they give me so much to work with.

9:01 Speaker 3: Ca Michelle is genuinely look at.

9:02 Speaker 1: You, like not more glam than she has doctors right now all around her making sure she look cute so that when she pull up to the nail salon with her girlies to debrief them on all the things and show up in film, She's not taking no days off, She's not saying I need a moment, and we had to stop filming. Sick girl put me in my silk jemies and I'm gonna go ahead, me and this big this wing, this bananged wig.

9:27 Speaker 3: I'm gonna go get a man anybaddy and talk to the girls in film.

9:32 Speaker 1: And this is why I was so excited for ca Michelle that I was like, Okay, she's in the right place. I feel good about it. And then suddenly I got protective and it made me turn on one of my own I was I was heartbroken, dismayed. May I say when she's explaining to the girls, like they're like, what's wrong? Are you okay? You're in the hospital, And it's not even that. Put aside the fact that Cay Michelle lets us know this. She told Porsche while she was why she was in the hospital. They connected and bonded about the free silicon in the body, the surgery, the bad stuff, all of that.

10:06 Speaker 1: It's that's irrelevant to me. It's like, why would you even fix your lips to say while someone's talking about their medical crisis and landed them in the hospital. You just jumped to and assume and blurt out a miscarriage. I was like, oh God, oh.

10:28 Speaker 3: I didn't like that decision. That was a choice.

10:32 Speaker 2: It was it was when I first when when I seen it, I was even shocked. But so the thing is, I actually seen previews for that episode before I actually watched it, but I was like, I was hoping, if I watch it, will it be better? Maybe maybe I'm not having enough context, but no, the context was yeah, And I don't think that she meant any ill will towards Michelle by saying it. But I feel like, kind of what Cynthia said with Porschu, she just does some dumb shit. Sometimes she says some dumb shit and it does have you sighed by her and kind of be like, well, where are you coming?

11:20 Speaker 1: Because Kate Michelle felt like she got Kelly, And to be fair, I kind of see it. I kind of see how she would make that jump, you know, because Cay Michelle was present and account for for when Gurley did the exact same thing to Kelly. You sit down, you're here for a girl's lunch. You're doing a key key and all of a sudden you hit her with some some some stuff that now it's said on cameras, it's blurting out, so we have to Yeah, so you said you're what a marry man? That you absolutely did, and Ky Michelle everybody getged in keykeyed about how Okay looked like bewildered in that moment with Kelly, like what the hell?

11:54 Speaker 1: And now she's like, oh shit, you better get caught up quick because it comes for you very soon. Why would Portia say that, I don't know, came to show handled it with grace in that moment, but I knew as well. I was I sure you knew, no waiting.

12:13 Speaker 2: Go it wasn't over. And I was shocked too, because I did think that in that moment. I was like, oh God, she's about to go down right here. So to see them, you know, continue on with the.

12:27 Speaker 2: I was just like, oh, okay, that's kind of strange, you know. But then on the other hand, I do wonder too, what have they had discussions about her wanting to be a mother and was that a thing? Because listening listening to it too, if you didn't know what ky Michelle was going through, you would kind of maybe assume that mm hmm she was talking about that.

12:59 Speaker 1: I don't think I blowed it out, regardless of whether I knew she was trying to be a mother or not. Because also, my only thing is though, at least like as a woman, if you know that someone you know is trying to get pregnant or what's trying to the last thing I would say out loud is a miscarriage, like just because like that just feels like something that if you knew it in confidence, you wouldn't say out loud. So it's just giving that you didn't. You gotta just pull that out of your ass just to see like what she might say or how she might react, or like if it was true.

13:29 Speaker 1: Sometimes port should just be fishing, like, you know, for information. And I think that's why Case said, you know, she called her a dingbat rightfully, Yes, this was dingbat behavior.

13:45 Speaker 1: It was benbo because ky Michelle been about that life on Twitter for a decade plus. Darlings, Okay, my thing is, like I know that about ca Michelle. But also I don't I would think that Porsche would know more so about the booty injection situation than she would about Kay going through any kind of infertility or pregnancy things, right, because she is also newly married, So it's not like she wouldn't know that that much more than she would know that. It was probably about the surgery of the thing they've connected, or at least you know, according to Kay.

14:21 Speaker 1: So I'm just like, maybe Porsicha was fishing. Maybe she's just looking for a moment, especially now that she's kind of like on her own.

14:29 Speaker 3: On the cast, she doesn't really have anybody.

14:34 Speaker 2: I think she lost her touch. I'll be hon you, Yeah, she lost her touch because it's like she's all I feel she always has to be in defense mode so much with the other ladies, with Shamia, with Kelly, with like all these other people. So now when it's time for her to be natural and kind of show up for her friends, I don't think that translates well on camera.

15:00 Speaker 2: Since Porsie got with Simon and she did that spinoff, it's been all about Porsche, Yeah, trying.

15:08 Speaker 1: To figure out why she brought up her own infertility issues as if that was her storyline or something that we were even talking about as a projection of why you would think it's okay to suggest that that's something that she was dealing with and why she was in the hospital. Just it was. It's just a big a swing and a miss a really big one for miss Porsche, and that's disappointing. But one thing about them, Atlanta Peach is sometimes baby, they will swing and they will miss. Speaking of missus, I know you're of the camp of y'all like Angela on this show?

15:43 Speaker 3: I think she's stunning.

15:45 Speaker 1: I was about to say the way I think she's stunning, but I don't know.

15:52 Speaker 1: I know y'all think like maybe y'all confused and maybe her husband does love her, but I'm just like confused as too. The draw. I don't feel it or get it. I just think she's absolutely gorgeous and like not even delusional. I just don't think she's honest with herself, and that sometimes it's hard to watch in real time. But this whole realistic for instance, real estate. We saw that battle last year with how she gonna sell that home. It was looking real hard. We knew she wasn't gonna newsflash, who were right?

16:25 Speaker 1: She did lose two million dollars on that investment, but nevertheless she persisted she bought another one. Even her daughter was like, I have judgments. I don't know about.

But I just didn't understand quite where that was going because the house was it looked to be just some random I just didn't understand. To touch on her last investment from last season, I actually didn't think it was an ugly house on the inside. On the outside, uh huh. I didn't expect it to look like what it looked like on the inside. But even seeing it on the inside, and I watch a lot of HGTV, I was like, this is not two million.

Not two millions for that house rise though, that is like unacceptable, Like I don't even think you know, Chateau Cherai was looking at that kind of you know what I'm saying at all, So I just it was giving, Oh maybe we should move on to something else, and I loved it. They were like, well, uh, you know, just try try again. And Angela's like, we just want to make it smaller, and I'm like, okay, but if you're still bad at it, though, the size of the house won't matter, it's the every day that it sits with you.

So maybe she thought that people were gonna go for that ship, because right, I want her to stop though, I want her to stop, and I want her to venture into something else, maybe like a anything, a nel.

Confessionals are good in person. We are all having challenges. We're just doing our best with whatever we can afford, and that's been dry cleaned, and so I get it. Yeah, you know, Shmi's not my fav I kind of liked her as Porsia's friend. I do think she's hilarious in confessionals her and Porsia being separated or split up, though now, to be honest, I think it kind of sullied my view by like thirteen percent for both of them, like both of them, I'm a little less enchanted by now that they're like just kind of hole separate, a little less whimsy in there because they don't have a you know, then I like a little girl girl back and forth, you know, like with the Green Eye Bandits for instance, I like Robbing, I like Robin wi Giselle.

27:11 Speaker 1: Because I like them together. It balances out the meat and girl ness, right, It balances that I'll be giving them a little whimsy when they're together, a little freakin' frek action. Not having that for either Smiah or Porscha when that's kind of how we met her. Shemia, It's like it's a little difficult because now I'm just like, I don't know how to feel her husband and I love her kids. You know, she's a good mom. She does great confessionals. But it's just like it's giving, take or leave. I could, I could, you know what I mean, it's not that captivating to where I need us to be here.

28:07 Speaker 2: I can't keep up y'all. But I said that I feel bad for Shamiyah now because I feel like there's just so much shit that she's getting. And I do feel for her knowing that this is your second season, and I'm pretty sure it's hard to navigate throughout through all the hate that you're receiving online and how people are receiving you when they're watching the show. It's like, I imagine that's that's kind of tough tech year. So it's like, I really I want her to have a redemption.

28:43 Speaker 1: Art Okay, So yeah, okay, I mean she's not having a season, so bad that she should even be fired. I just want to know what we're doing, what her purpose it's going to be on this show. Where does she fit in, because it's certainly not with Kelly for me, because Kelly doesn't fit enough for me for me to be like, okay, Kelly and Shamia out there, you know. But I do like Shemiah as like an individual, and I think I understand why they would pick her for the shell, like why she would be on the show. To be honest, I'd take Shamia sticking around longer than I would Angela, and that my you know, be unpopular for some of y'all, but I just I feel like she, Yeah, she's a lot.

29:23 Speaker 1: There's a lot more there for me if we're gonna do anything. At the very least, the husband in the HVAC I'm interested in. Like the money that house is big. This new or newcomer Pinky Coal season. I mean, she is one of the most notable black woman business owners in America.
